"now to you." he says as this frail looking old man lifts skaddor into the air. "don't go and cast spells at my family. We are much more powerful than you might have guessed before deciding to attack Darian. Everyone in this house is protected. By me. Now, take this ring of regeneration. I'll just put it on your tab. And get those red spots on your face looked after."
Archibald crushes a blue crystal in his fist and a portal opens beneath you.

As everyone knows, wild magic is a better mutagen then nuclear waste. And I mean Nuclear Waste in 50s B movies. Though in this case I'm guessing it just means that the spell had a different effect then intended.
