Five - people should read more.
« on: May 17, 2013, 09:30:09 am »

General Information about my games:

I will update them at least once per week.
If a player has not posted for an extensive period time voices(other baywatchers) will control him for a turn. Several
My time is limited - will ignore most roleplaying unless it is conversation with an NPC.
Anything chanced will be decided by an appropriate quantity of dice.
I will make sure your character stay borderline sane. there will be no "I punch the hideous abomination in one of it's many snouts to establish superiority." Instead your character will probably run away or at least keep his distance. ...
You end up playing magic users.
You have hitpoints and other simplified resources. I can not keep track of the general well-being of your characters otherwise.

Game: Five
Setting: Fantasy - any
Players: 5
System: Homebrew -mechanic heavy
Type: Cooperative

Character generation:
You are trapped. It is cold. Then the ice that surrounds you shatters. You take a deep breath. there are others. They as well seem to be freeing themselves from the ice. There are no stars above you. there is only darkness with the occasional bit of ice flying around. You feel light. Breathing here is hard, the air, damp thin and cold. The surface you stand on seems to be made from some kind of metal. Interwoven sheets of it. You look further. There are more people. They don't seem to notice you and seem slightly transparent. They walk towards a sphere of light. You follow them. inside the glow you see books, glowing in different colours. As you and the others pass into the sphere the transparent people seem to fade into nothingness. You and the others that freed themselves from the ice manage to touch one book each. You are five.

What colour was the book you touched? (Black white grey red green blue)

Mechanics:

Stats decided by dieroll: hp = 100+1d100 ; mp= 300-hp - also: spelldamage
You get 4d10 MP each turn out of combat and 1d5 each turn in combat. Enchantments reduce this number, more in combat, less out of it.
HP grows by being wounded and Mp grows by using magic.
All characters can attack for 2d6 damage. this costs no MP.
All characters can defend, reducing damage they take by 33%. this costs no MP.

Keywords:
Stun: can last for any number of turns, prevents action for that number of turns.
Fear: a feared creature will run away from the fight.
Mutation: can change properties of the targeted body.
Dodge: completely avoid damage and status effects.
Block: reduce damage by a given factor.
Burn: deals 1d6 damage per turn.

Characters:

Spoiler: Adam, Dancer of Tides (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Schmied, Smithlord (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Aaron, The Shield (click to show/hide)

Bestiary: soooooooon!

Red.
Red is the color of the book that was touched.
Red feelings and ideas, skills and magics, seem to spread though the mind of one known as
"Red".

EDIT: Yes I know someone submitted a grey submission. I want to try for it.

Gray, the color of sameness, of lack of meaning.

Yes I know someone submitted a grey submission. I want to try for it.
I'll try for this as well. PTW otherwise.
