Things would be a bit wackier, but if you think she'd have the same persona in office you don't understand what politicians have to do to get reelected.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I don't think you realize exactly what she is. Look at what she says now that she is leaving office.

That's Genuine Bona-fide Crazy.

Mm, it depends largely on whether she's a genuine crazy zealot or if she plays one for her base. Which mostly consists of crazy zealots.

In any case, Bachmann is practically unelectable, so I'm going with the assumption that she took power in a poorly orchestrated yet successful coup, in which case I would head to D.C. as soon as the news of the first executions spread, storm the Capitol with a mob of enraged citizens, and bloodily butcher her administration, hand in hand with a moderate conservative, reaching across the aisle for bipartisan agreement as we beat in the head of the military governor of the District of Columbia with half-bricks.

I think that that sentence got away from me at some point.

I would say it became hilarious at that point.

Just go to Canada, it's much better and it's on your doorstep. I presume.

That's ok, they keep to their own shit anyway. Just don't go to Quebec and you'll be fine.

You don't go to Quebec. Quebec goes to you.

I've been to the U.K. and I like it there. And anyway, Canada is way too close if things get really fucked up. But meh, Sweden wouldn't be a bad choice either.

You have been deceived, it's shit, honestly. Canada has remained chill through countless crazy presidents, so you shouldn't worry. Sweden's a much better choice if you want to go European though.

No offense Owlbread, but you're not exactly the most objective voice out there when it comes to the quality of the U.K.

Indeed I am not. I do take some delight in that though.
