Oh and dwarmin. Ghastly slash is slash/pure.

Pure trumps elemental so if you need to deal more damage theres that.

I don't think ghastly slash does any actual damage for me.

Thus,  I can only really use ghastly slash is something has both high magic/physical defenses and I won't get through anyway, or if both you Ochita and Tanky are teaming up against a single target damage wise that won't die anyway when I attack, or if I can reasonably count on something lasting longer than a few turns where the damage would add up. Otherwise, it's almost always better to hit it with my swords.

Are those black squares fog or what? If it is a pit then I won't be able to attack Boo E.
Dungeon pit. Impassable to units without Flying.

Editedit: Well if Ochitas attacking, Ghastly slash is now an option...

Well, right now Tanky can't reach anyone but Boo A, so teaming up isn't a option right now.

Eh? His max range is 2, so I really don't know how he would be able to shoot Boo E on this turn.

Oops...well this sucks...was reading fire flower.

I guess Ochita needs to South three then and Tanky moves there. I'll switch my action to solely boo-bomb, just to get rid of that fuzzy. The boos can attack us all anyway, so he wouldn't be in any additional danger.

Any time a spell refers to "making an attack with X weapon," that means you deal the same damage you would with that weapon, just with the spell's effect on top. So yeah, it does damage.

EDIT:

Hurm... I don't think I fully understand how warcry gives such a large bonus... Can you explain how he would have suffered one damage for me please?

You read it wrong. He would have suffered 20 damage but still been alive. He has 21 HP total.

I guess it's context sensitive. You can run, but most enemies would just give chase. Generally, I only do a full HP/SP recovery out of combat when you guys are completely out of danger.

Nope. Let me try one last time.

Each Boo did 6 damage to Inezach. Inezach has 21 HP. 6*4 is 24, so he took 24 damage and died.

If he had War Cry on him, he would have had +1 extra SPI. So each Boo would have done 5 damage instead 6. 5*4 = 20, so Inezach would have taken 20 damage. Because Inezach has 21 HP - not from the boost, as a BASE, look at his sheet - he would have been reduced to 1 but still alive.

War Cry literally does nothing but give that +1 to all your stats.
