Guys did you not see the poll??? Going all Rambo on a map like this will get you killed but fast. A single War Cry could have prevented this. Good thing you have two (though only two) options for healing at this point.

I thought that only having a single point would make a big difference yet! And he still would have got knocked out if I used it anyway, and we would have another boo to handle too.

Didn't realise they had longer range though...

First note: no, he wouldn't have gotten knocked out if you or he had used War Cry. 5+5+5+5=20, and 21-20 = 1 HP.
Second note: you would have, yes, but you'd have blocked it in, preventing it from helping its allies with that attack.

We should have switched up with the higher hitters, being Tanky and Boothany doing low damage we had no chance of knocking one out by ourselves without warcry.

We overkilled one and the other survived by the skin of it's teeth.

All right, umm, here's my suggestion for game plan.

Tere, you already warcried, good.

Ochita, heal Inez!

Tanky, you and me have to smash BooE. We should each do 8 damage now, I believe, enough to take one out in tandem...

Vil, move to where Ochita is now and finish off the BooA behind us. I can't move until you do anyway.

Hurm... I don't think I fully understand how warcry gives such a large bonus... Can you explain how he would have suffered one damage for me please?

I'm moving forward a bit to hopefully draw some fire in my direction, but Ochita is in the way... Damn this narrow corridor!

Well I guess I could move... uh.. Keep in mind I can only heal 5hp, and yeeaaah I really should get some sp restoratives later on. The annoying thing is just that while they can't really deal a lot of damage to me (the boo magicians), I can't really do much to them.

I guess that if I heal zach he and I could retreat back up the corridor?

I can give you my mushroom to restore your SP if you need it. Hopefully we find more stuff like that, and that green fuzzy had a mushroom on him as a drop I think.

I think that a retreat might be a good idea for you guys for the moment.

We should be good for now. We might as well muddle through and try to grab the treasure at least.

We frankly have no supplies but a single honey mushroom (+5 HP/SP), though, and given this is Fire Emblem style attrition combat we'll eventually be beaten down. Unlike Fire Emblem, healing is extraordinarily rare to make up for the lack of active counter attacks. Ochita can cast 1 healing spell that heals 5 HP, then...will have to eat a mushroom to cast another, lol. Which is pointless, unless Ochita is also injured. Why not just give the mushroom to someone whose injured...

@FFS: What are the rules for out of combat recovery of SP/HP btw? Or withdrawing from combat?
