You wake up lying on your back in the middle of a forest of burnt, needle-less pines. You try to get up, but as soon as you try to move, your body screams in agony. You gasp at the sudden pain, groan and fall back onto the ground with a
wumph. You try to get up again, and, ignoring the pain this time, manage to sit up. Looking down at your body, you notice that you're covered in burns, which appear to be what's causing the intense pain, and some heavily singed scraps of fabric which appear to have once been clothes, and there appears to be a heavily damaged cobblestone road with a house next to it nearby. You don't know what caused the burns, and as you try to remember things about your past, you realise that there's a lot of missing memories. Seemingly random bits and pieces of your past are floating around your head. You can remember how to read, write and speak, you seem to remember a searing pain, too. Presumably the cause of your present condition.
You strain to remember some details about your past...
Name?
Gender?
Background? don't make the background too large, as you can't remember large parts of your past. This is medieval fantasy, but magic is off limits for reasons that shall (hopefully) become apparent later. This includes enchanted items and magical beasts. Note that this doesn't mean you are going to be unable to use it in the future.
Last game never really kicked off (probably because of the much overused beginning), so I'm going to try a different approach this time. And, this time I shall try as insanely hard as I can to update this one. It's gonna use no dice (well, I may at some points, for example, if you decide to do some gambling), and I'll probably not draw pictures, so that I can be more bothered to update it. I may draw the occasional picture of the character, should the fancy take me and I find access to a photocopier, camera or something (my computer drawing is atrocious).
