Maybe if it was called something like Fuzzy

That way we could have some Warm Fuzzies in here instead of Cold Pricklies
Best idea I've ever heard out of you, Neo. "Fuzzy" carries fewer negative connotations than "furry".

Wait. So you create a thread about furries and then tell people they're not allowed to debate the meaning of the word? What exactly do you think it is people do in forum threads? Post in them to go "Yay [topic]!"?

It's almost like the definitions of those things are well understood.

Yes?

We must be reading different forums then. I don't see those threads filled with "PTW." I see them filled with discussion, defining of things and arguing about things.

But if this is intended to be one gigantic circle jerk, by all means, jerk away.

Nenjin, the word "furry" is well-defined. I don't want facts to be debated.

Weird thing to say when something like a third or so of the posts in this and the last thread were people trying to figure out exactly what it meant. Given that, if you think there's a well defined meaning for the word, you might want to spell out said boilerplate definition in the OP or somethin'. Other folks seem to have missed the proverbial memo.

Pah, facts! What are facts even? An accurate reflection of reality? Who needs that when you can have Opinionstm!!! All Opinions are tailor made to suit your specific needs! Why settle for generic brand facts when you can have your own custom Opinion!

This happens sometimes Tuck Lion it is what I call the Troll Sand Trap

What happens is one person doesn't want to stay on topic so they derail it consistently, people think it is funny so they join in, it continuously self-perpetually avoids the topic.

You don't have to; facts don't exist in the first place. Only opinions can traverse this web!

But yeah, you're going to have to define and then perpetually argue over the definition of "furry" and you'll never win, basically. Human beings tend to appear excessively belligerent and stupid when read on the internet.

Debating the meanings of words is so dull when you can EXPLORE the meanings of words! Let's all FIND what it means to be a furry! TOGETHER! It's the scientific method! :D

This is my fur chitinsona:

He is a weaver ant and this is him being completely overwhelmed with the joy of being a furry. Chitiny. Whatever.

I will draw fursonas for next three people who do not identify as "furries" but agree to tell me their favourite animals. If no one volunteers, I'll just start enfurrying people at random, substituting client-provided taxonomic data with wild guessing.
