DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

I keep trying to wake my dad, but the stars haven't aligned yet.
One day...

Well, I have procedural worldgen parameters (alterable from in-game) all set. I'll record a short video demonstrating them tomorrow and toss it up. For now they only affect terrain generation, but I'll be adding the same kinds of options for naming/history/creatures/etc. later on.

Let me know if you don't get it for some reason, Graknorke. It should just automatically generate and e-mail to you.

I did send an email to the support address, but since you're (probably) in charge of that too this is equally as good.
So yeah, it hasn't sent me the thing. No idea why. It's been just under 40 minutes now.

Strange, it seems to have worked well other Paypal purchasers, but it could be a glitch. I've sent you a PM requesting further info so I can manually create an account for you. Sorry about that!

New dev video - this one is just a very short clip showing off alterable terrain generation parameters:

Yeah... sorry to say that having the game start traveling circuses is not on the top of my to-do list.

I don't know if I'll consider the game complete without their Traveling Circuses or Gypsy Caravans.

But that is because this game won't be finished until it has a splash of culture.

But I am not expecting that for a long time. Heck I don't even know if civilizations will even pay attention to their biome or food stock in V1.

This looks magnificent!  I got a shiver down my spine looking at some of the video footage - in many ways what I see here, plus the game design concepts you hint at, all resemble closely what I would call my 'perfect game'.  It's at least a spiritual progenitor to that perfect game.

So, freaking awesome!  Keep up the good work, m'lord.
