"I 'spose I could chat with you lot for awhile, at least until I find some fun... My name is Fargrim." He turned to look at the human to stare at him intently.

"Let me get this straight... You're currently sitting at a table with multiple species, one of which cast magic just before, another is part lizard and can breathe fire and I can mash you into goo with my mind... And you think that hearing an elf, who are notorious for being nature lovers by the way, talk to a cat is weird? I think you need to get your priorities fixed!"

Fargrim laughs and takes a large gulp of beer before speaking again.

"Anyways... What are you lot here for anyway? What's so interesting about this place that it draws in such interesting people?"

"I came here to get out of my parents house and to start a writing career. As you can see that second bit is working great... Actually now that I think about it could someone hand me some paper and a pen?

[Sirus]

"Half-elf, actually. Easy mistake to make. And I'm here because a little birdie told me to be here."

Weston grins and leans back in his chair.

"I mean that in the figurative sense, of course. I haven't actually met any talking birds. However, I am a little surprised you managed to detect my powers; I figured throwing the glass of water would be the perfect cover."

"Well I may not be as mind boggling powerful as you guys but I can speak Goblin.

[Zako]

"For me, it's not so much of a gift so much as it is a combination of dedication, practice and skill. As for why I'm here..." Fargrim leans in and whispers with a grin. "I hear there's a nice fighting ring downstairs somewhere, where you can take part in cage fights and open ring fights for gold, as well as place bets on the fighters."

[Sirus]

"Is that so? I hadn't realized that Nevada had legalized blood sports."

In Elven: "I think he means illegal fighting rings. I think he's crazy and homicidal if that's the case.

In Elven: "In a fancy, brand new hotel like this? That's strange. Usually it's the older, dingier places that get the fighting pits."

Still in Elven:  "Well there is always the basement."

"When are blood sports ever legal? Anyway, I only really do it for fun and practice more than the money. Only real nasty people do it just for the money, and they typically don't play fair, so I avoid the real dark and nasty stuff."

Joe goes to a nearby alley to find a shady saleseman in a trenchcoat to sell him 10g worth of "ritual components".

Joe does the action mentioned previously.
