I think this is a game where you should go in blind. It's better this way.

It's made in RPG maker, and it's surreal and awesome.

In this game, you take control of a person known as The Batter, as you go on a quest to exterminate specters in a mysterious world made of 3 zones (and zone 0). As you progress, you solve puzzles, defeat bosses, and eventually learn the mystery of the world

What is the link between this game and Homestuck?

Absolutely none, save the fact that during the homestuck hiatus, a lot of fans switched to Dangan Ronpa and OFF for comfort.

I played through this a while back, but I ran into a bug after a certain subway scene that made my walkspeed extremely slow. Made the game really frustrating to play so I just watched the rest on an LP.

EDIT: Also, it reminds me of Space Funeral. Just thought I'd say.

Downloaded this, pretty...strange. Finished Zone 1 already and moving on. The combat lags a TON so I just set it to auto unless it's a boss fight (probably because I'm running it on Linux through WINE, but I've never had that issue with any other RPG maker games..)

Seems whenever I alt tab out of fullscreen it slowed down.

Anyway... just beat it.  My diagnosis: the game is a bit... off.

Interesting experience anyway, neat music, and not too long/drawn out (you don't have to grind or anything).

I'm able to enter The Room, but first I have to get through purified Zone 3. It's really hard.

Just did a search of all the threads with "OFF" in the title in Other Games, and other than this thread and three pages of "OFFLINE", I didn't see anything.
