1. Shall we screw around some more in Creature stage or proceed to Tribal?
2. If the former, what shall we do?
3. What changes shall we make? We have...254 DNA, plus 50 just for showing up to the new nest, plus whatever we get for cutting stuff to reduce our near-full Complexity.
4. What will the tribe be named?
5. Should we tell the story from the POV of the chief, another random tribe member, someone who lives in the hut, what?

3. Reposition the leg so that it requires a 45 degree angle to funtion.

4. "Foxhound" or, more seriously, name it "Craftlove"

5. Mostly through the chief's POV except when he dies in which case we briefly see the world through random tribe members who marvel at the chieftan's ressurection and the events prior.

Technically attack parts are also unneeded. The only attack part that is still used in the Tribal phase is poison spit.

The important thing to do here is lower our complexity

I vote we should have it as a historian reading the journals of random tribe members of old.

Also throw a rock at an epic. AND THEN THROW MORE ROCKS.

Holy crap, did every creature we encountered near the end suddenly become flower mimics as well?

Let's focus on stats that will matter in the tribe stage, namely speed and health. We should keep the remaining cell parts, as they are important to our identity.

Before we move onto tribe stage, let's get the best possible parts so we can trim unnecessary ones. This means going on a great big befriend/murder tour while hunting skeletons to get a huge amount of DNA.

But finding places for all the old parts and self-imposing some sense of actual evolution is the vast majority of the fun of the creature stage...

I agree, but I don't think the others want that. I was thinking we'd progress from flower-shaped to some kind of tiered thing, like a coral, or some kind of christmas-tree/wedding cake/edwardian ballroom dress monster.

On the contrary, I would like to see our flora eater evolve into something more devilish that builds off of its older designs, as opposed to turning into a very different entity in order to make it stronger. However, I do think that our creature should probably take steps to become a bit more grand. As in, perhaps the straightening of the back and more tentacles.
