We'd have to be kinda lucky for the latter. If the only economic city is inland and on another continent we're screwed.

So, green card now, catch an Economic city and buy the rest, and be Shaman; or blue card now, buy everything, and be...not-Shaman?
Green card now, blue card for civ.
Because blue card civ stage gives you increased spice production. More money = good.

Enough of this powergaming, kill them all because they looked disparagingly towards our noodly appendage!

You could also go blue in Civ and be a Diplomat.

If we got 2 Blue cards, we would be Diplomats.

Their power isn't as good in the beginning as Return Ticket either, though.

So, let us finish this up and go convert an economic city.

((I can't claim to dislike your choice. I prefer peacefulness to warlikeness, although Tribe and Civ violence is preferred over Creature or Space. Presumably for the same reason that I tend to die on those rare occasions I play a game like TF2.))

The Final Journals:

Charaden, Joath, and Hyerey were born. We gathered food on our way back to greet the children, fished, took care of our livestock (I even added a Beakopa to our flock), and so forth before gathering our strength and heading to greet a new tribe, the Orange Tribe. Our plans to do such were interrupted by a gift from the Cyan Tribe, and a desire by many to eat. Some villagers attacking a pair of Berommes who had followed them to the village didn't help, either; both were dispatched, and we left our village to chat with the others.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The journey was long...

...and the villagers distrustful. Setting off some pretty explosive devices solved that issue quickly, though.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The fireworks also attracted the mighty dragon I had sighted...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
We promptly started playing for them. They really liked the horns, and soon we agreed on a long-term friendship.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
While we wanted to stay, we said we had an appointment with the Lavender Tribe and couldn't stay to help fight the dragon. We then went to the Lavender Village and played a song for them, to justify doing so. (I later heard that the Orange Tribe managed to slay the beast, at the cost of 2/3 of their population. They suspect that combining our forces, even if we were only armed with instruments, would have reduced casualties to a few per tribe.)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
On the bright side, our diversion seems to have acquired new friends!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Lavenders gave us a bit of info which was greatly useful to our uses. We used it to greatly improve our technology. Combined with that of the other tribes' stuff, we managed to revolutionize our rule. We started by setting up a trade system with the Lavenders; soon, they were churning out new toys by the dragonload, although dependant on our food supplies. Then, while the Oranges were still weak, we annexed them, making them shock troops. The Brown and Cyan Tribes fell quickly, the former gathering food to support our massive tribe, if you can call it such, while the latter were excellent servants.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It is believe that this journal documents the Cupcakes' ascendancy to power and the creation of the modern interrace caste system. While the Cyan Caste has died out, and various more minor castes added over time, the basic system has remained the same.

-----

Why do all other races vanish once you hit the Civ Stage? Now we know.

We need to design a religious vehicle and some buildings. Needed to design:
1. Vehicle
-A Religious Land Vehicle
-Should it focus on Health, Speed, or Converting (ability to quickly convert cities)?
2. Buildings
-What should the Cupcakes' Town Hall look like?
-  "        "      "          "        Houses     "     "  ?
-  "        "      "          "       Factories   "     "  ?
-  "       "      "         "  Entertainment Buildings "     "  ?

50% hot rod!
