Don't worry. 90% of everyone's designs are crap.

Unless you're getting paid to spend time making hundreds of creatures look neat. Then it's down to about 50%.

I guess so... Though thinking about it, I'd say that my designs were more boring and practical than crap. Nothing terribly ugly, but nothing to write home about either.

I get higher then that...

But I cheat, I created FAR more creatures outside the game then inside... and I intentionally deleted the creatures I made in game BECAUSE they looked terrible. A few I kept (Foozi Bird being one of them) but otherwise.

"This is an ancient lowbstor. It is a creature which was an ally of the junglises. They communicated...by singing?"
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"Yes, incredible though it may seem, the two creatures talked with their voices. The powerful but mostly-aquatic lowbstors dug nests, while the junglises guarded their shared nests from predators on land."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"And what interesting creatures will this junglis meet next? none other than the ctheux!"
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"The ctheux may look a little like us, but they're not related in the slightest and are in fact dumb as bricks. Not that this is a problem for the junglis..."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"While the junglis wanders about on land, the ctheux quite happily makes sure that no pesky predators come along and attack.

"This idyllic lifestyle was about to change...forever."

I think so. But I don't remember if I buddied you.

Friend tiem.
You already voted, didn't you?

Time to evolve some! Who wants to suggest how we do so?
We have access to essentially just all basic parts, plus one:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
...but I don't think that one's coming up in our plans.

So, evolutions, name, and plans.

And guess what?

Legs, 3 of them. Let us become tall as well, to get access to those fruit in the trees.

I (somehow) wield a marble coffin that i fill with the corpses of all I have slain (to make an already heavy object even heavier) in one hand, and the other holds a book made out out of fucking platinum. The book can crush skulls, and the coffin grows ever stronger and now that is has a few dead dragons in it, it sends people flying a mile backwards to explode in a pile of gore. Gore which I then place into the coffin,

I am still against legs. They shall fear the Slug empire!
.
On that note, we should probably develop arms... Arms that slowly grow larger as the species grows, until we can give the enemies a mighty slug to the face with glorious fists of victory!

Put one of the legs beneath our chin, the second beneath our torso, and the third beneath our behind.

Just one arm, that hangs loose underneath us, but the growing thing is good.

Vote (1) for the Urist scale!
I shall be eternally happy. I shall be able to construct elf hunting giant mecha. Which can pour magma.

Three arms, as suggested before, but all growth occurs in those arms, they get bigger each time we evolve.
Until Spodicus is really three massive arms connected to each other by a bit of slug.  Arms stay above the body, something like below, {as a target because both types of hands are top tier}.
