ROUND 3: PLEAD!Perhaps a 4th column to show how many kills our characters got would be nice in our scores? And perhaps another for char survival?
I actually considered doing something like this originally. But I didn't, so as not to encourage everyone to make "the best", most powerful, or even reasonably useful characters.
ARENA:
Intergalactic CourtYou are an enormous courtroom, with each of you harnessed to a chair in the center. Before you, at a podium, is the Judge, a man with a gavel, black robes, and improbably large powdered white wig. There is a jury on the right, composed of 12 members of various sentient alien species and an ordinary cat. On the left are some doors- two normal sized, and which stands twenty feet tall and wide, where armed guards stand. Behind you is the audience, also of mixed species and a few housepets.
The Judge slams his gavel on the podium, and explains: "Each of you is on trial for various crimes. If you are found guilty, you will be sentenced according to your crime, as well as the penalty for using the time and resources of the Intergalactic Court, which is DEATH. If found not guilty, you will be free to leave. Try anything funny, and you will be killed. You will notice that you are strapped to our Instant Execution seats, which we keep around for just such an occasion. I will speak to each of you about the crimes you are accused of. Review your cases, and those of the other accused carefully."
YOU ARE:Xantalos: You are Lappiel, a demonic, possessed Laptop with a few magic abilities. You are in an Instant Execution Laptop Case. The Judge says that you have been accused of hacking into Galactic National Security computers, and replacing important security information with pornography, shutting down the entire system.
flabort: You are Dr. McNinja, conceivably the most awesome ninja (and doctor) to ever live. And now you are, somehow, captured, and your sword taken away. The Judge says that you're accused of the murder of one Mr. Boddie, who was stabbed to death in multiple places.
ExKirby: You are the Rex Splode, a 90's looking superhero with the ability to create explosions with your mind. The judge says that you are accused of bombing a research station belonging to the Intergalactic Government, citing the fact that making explosions is kind of your thing.
SomeStupidGuy: You are the Venomancer, with magical abilities to attack with poison. Your staff, which made you more powerful, has been taken away. The Judge says that you've been accused of "Shooting green stuff" at random people. You've been seen shooting green stuff, so now you're here.
Borno: You are Sollux, a troll with different colored eyes, and
a lot of traits. Most notably, you are a skilled computer hacker and have psionic powers, including telekinesis and sometimes uncontrollable mind beams. Your Lusus, a guardian of sorts, has been taken away. The Judge says that you are accused with undermining galactic security with your computer hacking and that you "know bloody well what you put on our computers".
GreenStarFanatic: You are Bomberman, a little, big-headed guy with the ability to create big, cartoon bombs with a lit fuse from nowhere. Considering your abilities, you aren't surprised when the Judge says that you're accused of bombing an Intergalactic Government research station, although you consider it kind of racist.
Gamerlord: You are Optimus Prime with a Twist- you hold the Green Lantern ring, and its ability to manifest things with your mind, plus whatever else it does. The Judge says that you are accused of "Shooting green stuff" at random civilians. He admits he didn't really read the case document much and wishes you good luck.
GreatWyrmGold: You are a schizophrenic Hydra, who you're quite familiar with, and you have the ability to breathe fire and acid. Your magical staff has been taken away. The Judge says that you stand accused of murdering Mr. Boddie, who was found killed with many stab wounds- he points to your large teeth as a likely murder weapon, and your known past of violence.
For the fight to end, at least four of you must die- but nobody still strapped to the Instant Execution Seat can leave, so you'll have to escape or be found not guilty even if there are already enough deaths. Either actually killing someone, or ensuring their execution counts as a kill.
