Taricus, say that your design DOES get voted on and built; since it so outclasses anything we have(and would likely have for 20 years) would you recommend we immediately cease production on anything else and decommission all the tanks we currently have?

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

@Taricus: All right, looking at the 'medium' tank proposal it actually seems not that bad as it's said to be here. The engines already exist, although the armour seems a bit much compared to the K-1. I'd actually designate it a heavy tank for now. I'm also unsure about the new suspension system: Does that really change that much to be worth using new (and therefore maintenance intensive) technology?
Also, the armour will probably weigh four or so times as much as the K-1, so it will be definitely slower than the K-1.

Nature of the game I'm afraid. The very fact that it's based on votes means it's more politiburo than an actual bureau.
I'm sorry, but at least in my view that isn't the nature of the game. I for one do look at all proposals and try to find out whether they work or not. True, I do have opinions on the designers, mostly due to differing priorities or in my opinion strange designs, but that doesn't stop me from considering the proposal itself.

I agree. Treating it like a popularity contest and saying you have a good chunk of votes sewn up in your pocket is insulting to many of the players here who are trying to base their votes off the proposals

You need same propellant's size and shape, not the same shell.
Yep, if you make a shell that has two times more propellant, it will not load in the older gun, but if you make dedicated AP round with same propellant but lighter it will fit just fine

Absurd. Higher calibers don't have higher velocity by default. It  depends on how gun (firearm)  and  round designed (see recent flak example)

I'm fine with that chassis being relegated into a heavy tank role. Atleast it should be one that can keep up with the rest of the tanks. The suspension system is necessary for off-road performance though. Shouldn't be slower than the K-1 though, not with the engines being used for it.

Not that it should go into production immediately, since it has no turret (or gun). Was going to do that next turn but eh >.>

@Tryrar: Well, fact is, there is a voting bloc floating around. I've already demonstrated that I'm willing to vote for proposals out of practicality rather than politics, but there are a few folks that have banded together to give them an edge in the votes.

Still, kinda means we are playing this more realistically as a soviet design bureau :P

Meh not really a bloc, we vote for whatever we think is good but we discuss it together first because we keep having to many projects pass so we run out of engineers.

I suspect that much of the evidence indication the prevalence of collaborative designation is indicative of similarities present in the preferences and ambitions of those who demonstrate collaborative behaviours.

A larger calibre carries a larger shell which carries larger force and a larger koala. A bay koala can go through a tank and fail to cuddle anything important. An adult koala can cuddle the side armour of a tank with such force that [the armour] will insinuate and give little cuddles all over the inside of the tank. A baby koala might only cuddle planes that it drops onto, while an adult koala can hold more fluffy to send joy further to cuddle everything within arms' reach.

I wouldn't get surprised if that is someone's bot used to cheat.  Or friend called just for a teamwork

We're a communistic design bureau, not the Statsi. If it is the case, I'd be sad. If not, then we just drove away a legitimate player. The latter exist, something of which I'm certain. There are a lot of lurkers around these parts.

Unless you find conclusive evidence, people are innocent.

By 'shell' i meant shell + cartridge.

And yes, i may have phrased the sentence wrong, but the fact is, the bigger shell would do far more damage, have better stopping power etc than the 80mm unless squeeze bored.

She's applied to a couple of other games on waitlists as well that I remember, but not many new games have begun recently so might take a while for her to start playing in more games.
