ok, so the local wildlife isn't friendly :)

Ebbor: do you prefer rough (some, a couple) counts of people doing things, and just assume that there's the right amount, or should i give an exact count?

we should utilize some of those empty rooms -- of the top of my head:
    • medical area, we have trained guys, so this'll help recovery for whoever manages to get hurt next turn.
    • sleeping areas.
    any other suggestions?

we need a water supply - evaporative condensation over the hot springs seems to be the best bet, until we get a good quality water purifier.

some engineers should see if they can locate the main power supply.

We need to be producing food 5 weeks from now or we will starve.

    • farmers and builders try look clean out the room around the hot springs - we'll set up a hydroponics area there, and water condenser, for pure water. We should also see if any of our seeds are cold-adapted (do we stand more than SFA chance of growing stuff outside? ).
    • a couple of engineers should look to see what can be done about the kitchen - and produce a resource estimate for I) repairing the current room, II) moving the kitchen to a different empty room.
( actually, just do I) the open roof will need to be repaired anyway, and things like floors, chimneys, and pluming make that the best option...
    • a couple of engineers and scientists check out the 3d fabber, a) what can it produce, b) what parts does it need to get it running again
    • some engineers should go service the generator and repair the batteries. The best place for the energy is probably in the batteries for now, not as gas in tanks -- that way the tanks can be used for other things. (if they get done, then they should turn on generator, and have some scientists test the supercomputer). Unplug the antenna on the satellite uplink before turning on the generator, we don't want to announce our location to the world.
    • Deciding that growing food things is critical to our survival over the next few months we speak to the most experienced farmer about what seeds we have. - Seeds that would be useful:
      a) lots of food (don't care if it's a bit bland, we don't want to starve) (broccoli is naturally cold tolerant, so a rapid growth GM variant would supply the nutrients we need?)
      b) interesting food - some type of fruit. (what were our plans for growing food when we exited the bunker anyway)
      c) sugar beets - something that can be fermented to alcohol/ethanol/biodiesel (anything with high starch or sugar content)
      d) some type of construction resource (wood/bamboo/....)
      e) something that can be rendered down to paper (and cellulose is a generally useful material)
all the seeds would be somewhat cold-adapted,
      f) something with fibers, for cloth, rope, ... flax can cover a few of these - food, fiber, oil.
so yes, i did just propose we live on broccoli, potatoes, and flax seeds. Them's the breaks when you're planning to recover from an apocalypse. It is slightly more likely that we have a GM engineered cereal variety of some type (all 3 of those plants are frost tolerant, so with a bit of engineering, they'll be suitable crops for this area).
    • 5 medics, 5 injured people -- the medics take care of the people.
    • 5 soldiers check out the perimeter (3 guns, 2 spears). noting a) the state of the fence (and what it would take to get it fixed up), b) any potential avenues of approach to the fence (where things could hide/sneak up to the compound)
    • 5 engineers and 5 soldiers go for water (2 guns, 8 spears). (no excuses this time, we should of been on the lookout the first time).

and everyone else should try to repair a) the fence. b) build some cages -- the wildlife is good enough to come to us, it'll be alot safer if we use traps. (we're mostly ignoring the rest of the buildings for now, we've got some bigger priorities).

Soldiers do have orders to shoot anything that threatens them.

exploring priorities:
  • the machine room - it's probably associated with the hanger. Given the on-site fab capabilities they probably had the manufacturing capabilities here to maintain their vehicles.
  • weapons
  • metal resources

Hell if I know.  Pretty humourous suggestion, but utterly useless in the case of roleplaying, if indeed the whole game world was one whole huge ass field of fruit.

(actually i'm hoping that someone will point out that with nothing to cook the kitchen isn't a high priority, and that we should be doing something else instead)

We need to be producing food 5 weeks from now or we will starve.
That's midspring, there's no way we'll have grown anything by that time (well maybe some leafy greens, but in North Siberia even those won't grow too well until late spring). Find out if anyone has hunting experience, and form hunting parties. Each party must have a gun (and spears for everyone). This will give us the additional benefit of scouting out nearby land. Also find out if anyone knows how to trap or forage. Send them under the escort of hunters to fo their respective things. I expect around 25 people to be involved in these activities, while the 5-10 (they would probably be the ones who know how to forage) farmers plant seeds that are appropriate to the season.

On the bright side, we'll have a few weeks before people starve to death.

Defined numbers are nice, but I'll manage.

Why did nobody tell me how much I messed up the turn post?

We didn't think it was that important.

I think good quality GM seeds would have a 4 week growing time ... this was a survival bunker, it'd have nothing but the best in it ...

edit:
adjusted the above plans to be a bit more hunting focused, and did a nice little table in excel (auto-tallying, so it tells me how many are left at each task :)

also, are We one of the scientists or an extra?

Scandinavia: 2104 AD: Early Spring (Week 3)

Spoiler: Actions (click to show/hide)

A small group of people is told to look for the machine room, so that we can start doing repairs on the APC. In the meantime, several scientists investigate the state of the fence. It's in a pretty bad state, and while the carbon cables are still mostly intact, the supports have almost all been torn down. Repairing can take some time, and at this moment the facility is essentially defenseless.
Not that defenses matter much anyway. Without food supply, it's very well possible that you'd die here before you see another living soul. Several engineers decide to fix this problem, and have started to construct and set up a large amount of traps in and around the compound.

Over the weel, several engineers manage to get the powergrid back online. It's a messy rewiring of cables left an right, but it's not that hard, and they manage to find the time to check out the supercomputer too. It's got several designing and other programs installed on it, which should be a great help to everything we need to do. The generator is running at maximum capacity for the moment. The sattelite transmittor has been left offline.

Some more scientists and engineers check out the 3D fabricator. They note that it has been heavily damaged, and would be fairly hard to repair. Most likely our supplies won't be enough for a full repair, though maybe we can restore parts of the system to function. The system appears to be versatile, being capable of using a multitude of metals and bioplastics, with decent accuracy (1mm) and for a decent size (3m³)

Some engineers draw up blueprints for the kitchen. There isn't much interesting stuff left though.

Getting water is done without any complications.

The farmers manage to get the spring area cleared, but fail to set up a hydroponic system. They do manage to set up some improvised greenhouses using plexiglass plates.

The traps manage to catch an average amount of food.

hmm, 15 traps, about 30 food a week - we have 100 people, 50 traps, but i doubt they'd keep us feed for long before we deplete the area.
. 5 engineers modify half the existing traps to capture live animals.
. we send out 2 hunting parties - 2 armed soldiers, and 3 people with spears. They are free to roam more than 1 hr away. They should follow the river up and down-stream looking for signs of activity, both animal and human. Animals have a "shoot first, ask questions later" policy. Any non-armed human, have the reverse approach: non-lethal force if possible.
. The group gathering water (1s 5f) heads out with the hunting roup and gets water, then returns directly
. We, and some farmers should plant out the small farm plot. If we know how to best plant the seeds, then plant them that way, if not, then allow one side to be hotter than the other, and one edge to be planted with more dense seeds than the other, so we can see how the plants best grow.
. Farmers and builders should work on more green-houses.
. Engineers and some others, should look to repair the fence
. some engineers help the medics setup a make-shift hospital/recovery area to help those injured.

Thats the necessities. Now, any ideas on what the other people should do, other than the redesign of a few cages (which i didn't allocate any people to)?
perhaps
15 scientists can search the lab, looking for the primary power generator (or some lesser solar powered items)
the other 15  can search for stores of materials, tools, or possibly even some type of storage vault which hasn't been raided yet?

I can't read most of that. Please don't make images with black text and transparent (I'm guessing, unless it's really black on dark grey?) colors.

I added a couple of ideas below the table, basically go search for stuff ...
