Plenty of scrap material in a supercomputer.

Oh, and Iphones can't stand the cold very much. Break down pretty easily actually.

Scandinavia: 2104 AD: Early Spring (Week 1)

Spoiler: Actions (click to show/hide)

Investigating the labratory is an immeadiate, but slightly problematic task. The ground floor doors have been partly covered in snow, and are often frozen shut. The first team finds the cafetaria, in the center of the building. It's kitchen has collapsed, and all the food's spoiled or eaten. However, it's still mostly sheltered, and the roof's in a good shape. The second team finds something slightly more interesting. The radio and sattelite uplink installation appears to have survived, though with some damage. The third team manages to find the janitorial closet. They return with the glorious  loot of 4 garbage bins.

Team 4, 5 and 6 all strike gold. Respectively, they find the labratories Primary mainframe, in excellent shape, it's Battery power storage unit, in slightly less optimal shape and it's 3D printing installation. Sadly, the latter's heavily damaged.

The last 3 teams are not much more succesfull though they do manage to find the labratories hot springs. Sadly, they do so by collapsing part of the building into them. 2 engineers and 2 scientists were gravely hurt.

The team send into the bunker doesn't make it far. They only get halfway to the second level before the staircase gives away. It collapses in a wave of shattered concrete and groaning metal, crashes into the elevator, with plunges into the depths. Screeching metal indicates the deadly descent stopped a good 5 floors lower. Nobody was hurt.

Yay containers! Let's send people to the river to get us some water. If the water table is contaminated, we'll die soon anyway, so there's not much (more) risk drinking it. And let's have them escorted by properly armed people (you never know when a mutated man-bear or a wild pig will attack).
Also, let's have the medics look at the injured people (unless that happens automatically?)
Finally, unless we're done- more exploring of the lab and other the local buildings (hangar looks promising)

Yeah, get water and search the hangar. Actually, where are all the people living?

In one of the better preservered parts of the labratory.

Explore hangar for vehicles, create primitive melee weapons for everyone (spear or knife)

Scandinavia: 2104 AD: Early Spring (Week 2)

Spoiler: Actions (click to show/hide)

You send some farmers with the soldiers to gather water. When they arrive they find the river frozen. Not dissuaded by this setback, they try to find a spot to break through the ice, and carefully start hammering it with a stone. The thumping resounds over the fields and plains, and attracts unwanted attention. A white shadow glides through the crisping snow, coming closer, ever closer, breaks into a sprint and leaps, knocking over the suprised victims, and closing it jaws around the suprised farmer.

The soldiers react quickly, opening fire on the beast. However, they can't seem to wound it effectively. When asked about it later in the debriefing, they attribute it to a variety of reasons. Not wanting to hit their commerade, snow blindness, suprise, weapon malfunctioning due to the cold... Maybe it was just bad luck. Nobody knows. However, those few bullets that hit were enough to make the beast flinch ,and drop it's prey. He's currently in the small hospital ward the team has set up in one of the abandonned areas of the lab. The four others there are in much better state, and expected to be released next week.

Having noticed this threat, some engineers have spent their time trying to make primitive spears. They're hampered a bit with the crude instruments they have, but do manage to succeed to make 10 "spears". It's highly unlikely that sharpened sticks like these will stop the beast you've encountered, but all things help, you suppose.

Better news comes from the team exploring the hangar. While most of the team found little else than scrap under it's collapsed ceiling, one team managed to find a heavily damaged, but still repairable APC. It's gunturret on top is broken, the electronics are busted, the engine is mostly gone, and little remains of doors and wheels, but the frame's fine. It also increases the hope for other things that might be discovered below the hangar.

The Science teams have similair finds, nothing more than more empty rooms, and other stuff. That is, safe from the last group, which accidentally stumbles on something far more interesting. The lab's auxilary power generator, in pristine state, and several fuel cells, enough to last you for several months.

Was that a polar bear or some exotic, post-apocalyptic monstrosity?

Have some of the scientists/engineers (whichever is more appropriate) find out what we need to get the 3D Printing installation operational again.
