People generally recommend Summon; it is quite useful in some of the levels, utterly pointless in others. Did not actually try Fire, so cannot tell you much.

So it seems that anything that has run to infinity is reset to zero once you save and load. Pity.

Summoning sword is actually good. It does well on maps with ghosts or enemies you don't want to have to deal with directly.

Yeah but it does worse on the maps with harder enemies then Ghosts (Getting into the castle for example, it actually makes that mission nearly impossible).

I could probably finish the castle with my current set up, just not with my current weapon.

It's not a bad choice for the castle entrance. You'll be pretty annoyed trying to get through the castle keep boss though.

At first glance, but no it is the worst sword for getting past that. Since your minions are too slow to kill the knights and stop you from dealing the majority of the damage. (you need a level 4 sword to have a guaranteed chance of passing that stage)

If you plan on farming it for very long periods of time it works though.

Summoning sword doesn't go above level 5, making it useless later on.
Healing sword gives you back health after you kill a guy, but doesn't help much while you're fighting, so it's terrible with bosses.
Fire sword, on the other hand, increases damage dealt when you level it up, making it the best for the places where you seriously need a good sword.
