Guardian Angel Ragnarok is a RPG written and developed almost entirely by Koumei on The Gaming Den game design forum. I wrote the section on Magic, though, so blame me for that.

In GAR, you play as a one of a team of Valkyries who have come down to Midgard in hopes of finding brave warriors to fight on the side of the Aesir at Ragnorok. Each Valkyrie player also controls one or more mortal charges, who they are trying to lead to death and glory. Additional, non-Valkyrie players are welcome, even (and especially) if you're unsure of your availability or just want to try the game out. Seriously, I want to get as many people playing as possible. Games will be on Friday evenings, US time, using Roll20.net assuming there are players for it. Alternative arrangements can be made, if people need a different time.

In order to sign up, you must create at least one human character using the following character sheet:

Name: Good names include Thran Mightthews, Olaf Shieldspliterer and Yon Olafson. Bad names include Harold Jenkins, Zhuge Liang and Suckmaster Burstingfoam.
Gender: Male or Female.

Stats: Your stats are Combat, Athletics, Leadership. You start with 2 in each, but can lower one to 1 to raise another to 3.

Knowledge: Knowledges are special skills that you have, like sailing, religion, winter survival, etc.
Expertise: Expertise gives +1d6 to a roll. Examples include Killing Animals, Healing Wounds, Axe Fighting and so forth.
Bonus Skill: You get 1 extra Knowledge or Expertise.
Equipment: A Dagger and 1 other item of your choice.
Background: Yes, you have to write a background.

Background: A embodiment of the winter, Ula come off as a ice queen if you pardon the pun. She seem to be always glaring, jokes tend to fall flat to and from her and no one see her crack a smile outside of dancing and she tend to threaten the witness to that to stay quiet about the dancing. She act somewhat mechanically, giving a unsettling aura.

@scapheap: In addition to the obvious benefits of being able to play music, woo men and otherwise rock out, your musical expertise also counts when making the Leadership test to rally troops. Likewise, your harp counts as "an appropriate focus" for divination. Also, you may want to write down the powers for Deadly Frost somewhere.

Looks good, except for one thing: There are actually two expertises you could take with scale mail. Fighting In Scale Mail, which gives you +1d6 to attacks while wearing scale, OR Defending In Scale Mail, which gives you +1d6 to the Defend action when wearing scale mail. Please specify which one you wanted. Note that if multiple expertises apply, they do not stack. You can only get +1d6 from expertise to any roll.

How late are the sessions exactly, and in what timezone?

I'm waiting on people to sign up so I can get an idea of when people can be there before finalizing the time. A rough estimate would be 11 PM GMT every Friday, but that can be moved around +/- 6 hours or so in either direction as needed.

Some general background information for your reading pleasure:

The current year is 969 AD. You are all in the Kingdom Norway. The current king of Norway, Harald Greycloak II, gained the throne eight years ago when he and his brothers fought and killed King Haakon the Good (a noted Christian) at the Battle of Fitjar. He remains unmarried. He is known for having established trade with the Swedes and for ruthlessly killing his political rivals - Sigurd Haakonsson (his son, Hakon fled to Denmark), Tryggave Olafsson (his wife, Astrid Eriksdatter, and three year old son, Olaf, fled to the Islands of Orkney) and Gudrod Bjornsson (his son, Harald Grenske, fled to Sweden). He is currently vassal to King Harald Bluetooth of Denmark, son of Gorm the Old. He is expected to be making an announcement of some importance at Nidaros, the capitol.

That's where you are all at now: a sheep farm at a small hamlet on the outskirts of Nidaros, where you are spending the night. It is early winter and you hope to reach the city before the snow becomes too deep.
