My forges refuse to produce anything from the Furniture or Other Objects categories. What's particularly strange is that earlier in this same fort, I produced several dozen steel doors and floor hatches. I've tried disabling and reenabling the labors, restarting the game, and using the manager, all to no avail. My metalsmith has access to the forge - he just made some copper bolts without a problem. Is this a known bug, or am I just having FUN!

What do you mean refuses to produce? Does he cancel the task? Make sure the task is not suspended (no big red S next to it).

The task sits at the forge. It never gets cancelled, just sits there in the queue. It's absolutely not suspended.

Check your workshop profile. You may have set a minimum or maximum skill level that's blocking the job

*Facepalm* that was it. I had the profile set to legendary only, and my metalsmith is a legendary armorer and weaponsmith, but only a master blacksmith.
