I know there is a big Fey Mood thread, but I didn't want to take the chance of this getting drowned out, since it might be a bug.

I'm at about 70 dwarves, and everthing is going great, until one of my Metalsmiths gets struck with a Fey Mood, so I put my view over my only Metalsmithing workshop, waiting for him to come take it over. Except he never does, he's outside just standing inside my trade depot, blinking that "!" that means he's in a strange mood.

I've waited quite a while, and he doesn't seem to want to do anything.

If you've hit the lava, he might want a lava forge instead.
