I got one of those glass beer boots with that video with the faux-gay-german dude. It's not practical as anything useful, but it's a decent conversation piece.

I nearly dropped 600 pounds on a decomissioned PPSh, but that isn't exactly decadent.

I bought a $300 black cashmere winter coat. Luckily, because I live in Canada, I get to wear it half the year.

I really like good-looking winter wear. >___>;;

It's straining to contain.....just.....a....little....more wine.

You have to think about this like a pretentious English artist.

I think the people arguing about the impracticality of the seven deadly sins glasses are kind of missing the point.

But this thread needs more decadence,

This image doesn't do it justice, but the Claim Jumper motherlode cake is approximately one foot tall:

Here it is with people in the picture to give you a sense of scale. This slice of cake that's wider than the girl about it eat it is the same size as the slice of cake sitting in front in the previous picture.

But one foot isn't much compared to the Antila Mansion, which is a 27-story personal home:

boat with a pool in it

Ha! Here's a boat with a tropical island on it:

Sadly, it's not available for purchase.

But that's not uncommon. Lots of yachts are custom made. Why waste 20 million on a generic yacht when you can spend 4.5 BILLION to have one custom made the way you like it?

Oh, and incidentally the hull looks like gold because it is.

And, speaking of gold, let's go full circle back to dessert. With gold in it.

That's a chocolate sundae with five grams of powdered gold in it. That you eat. Using the diamond-encrusted spoon that it's served with.

Obviously if Mercury was extremely shiny and highly valued, the 1% vs. 99% debate would have never started in the first place.

Great post though, I love the tropical island yacht.

Lead was prized in various eras and places for how delicious it made everything. Used in cookware and cups.

Your post didn't have a shiny picture, however.

Is it wrong that when I see that I just think about how much fun it would be to climb up and infiltrate from the outside like in a spy movie?

I thought those Seven Sins glasses were the tackiest luxury thing I'd ever seen, and God help me for wanting them so bad.  But that... boat?  That is the tackiest thing I've ever seen.

It's not tacky, it just transcends all previous conceptions of "style."

That boat is in a league of its own: twenty thousand leagues under all the others.
