What's the best way to damage a large army with spells? Why can't I just kill all of Palazzo's armies, easily, while he can't kill any of mine, without ever actually having to squander any of my own armies? WHY?!

If anyone is willing to trade gems for gold, let me know.  200 gold/gem sound good?

Well I'm killing a lot more of Marignon's troops than they're killing mine, but that's not saying a lot when they can carpet the entire battlefield with bodies.

Numbers don't mean much when it comes to killing troops. Some are really tough and expensive so killing just one is a blow. Others are dirt cheap and if all of them die its just a turn to rehire the whole mess. Really what you need to work with is percentages. While a mixed force technically is a good idea so you can cover your bases armies in this game tend to either be all one kind of troop and maybe summons or a giant ball of random indies. Because of this a percentage of troops that where in an army and where killed more effectively says how you did. a fight of 100 versus 1000 can go either way depending on the troops but saying that the respective losses where 64% and 11% gives a clearer image of the results then saying the one army lost 64 troops and the other lost 110 troops.

So you have discovered my strategy then! Which Inquisitor turned traitor? Who sold you my plans? It is my most powerful battlefield tactic, soon my researchers will have finished developing the new spell "Carpet Bombing Bodies" a powerful evocation which kills all of my own troops and uses them as projectiles.

The people are happy to die for their Glorious Leader Stalin--I mean Somir.

And Akhier is right, and I wasn't kidding when I said most indies I hire will die for me at 10 gold a pop and some endless wine.

Minor stuff,  the Forge of the Ancients has been remade, creatures of the depths protect the seas from interlopers, Ashdod and Pythium are gone. Shinuyama has gone AI, a war spanning the world and the planes has erupted amongst the remaining powers.

It's the little things really.

It turned out that Ulm has been foolish to trust in allies who do not believe in steel.

Soon I will! By "soon" I mean, possibly, in some indeterminate span of time.

Exclamation!

In the wake of my internet connection going out for a day I have failed to do three things. I did not send my turn in, I did not postpone the turn for Mrhappyface, and I did not ask Akhier what's going on there with him stalling the second turn in a row.

Gentlemen, it would appear we are doomed to be accosted by a swarm of vicious rollbacks!

Awrighty then, I'm going to do the rollback now, as I'm sure you'll all agree it's necessary. Then I'm going to add another 12h to the hosting period time for the total of 48h. I'm also going to keep postponing the turn until I hear from Akhier.

Finally, I'd need one of the remaining players to share the admin duties, in case the spectre of dissapearing internet connection striked again.

What is going on apparently is the dang Llama server not accepting my turns or something and not telling me. I better watch more closely this time. I have video evidence that I have done both of said turns.
