Also Il Palazzo. His place is on the vulcanic plane of despair and doom. Where not even a small pond exists, for him to pond.. er... in..
God dammit.

Agartha's position is indeed bad, but only if THAT one race is playing. You know the one.. Insta-aoe-destruction of all your statues, forever. Every round of every battle. Spammable commanders that knock Agartha out of the game by turn 10. Yeah, that one. They start next to each other, and that makes you wonder.
Seeing how anyone - with IQ exceeding that of a rock - can instagib that specific nation A (moi), with that specific nation B (fucking Caelum), will make me change realms should it be chosen.

Aside from that, i find my lack of income acceptable, and challenging in the most welcome of ways. It will also prevent me from ever buying those pieces of monkey crap, that i call national troops, and just forget about money altogether. The only healthy, sanity-preserving way to play MA-Ag.

Stworca, either you've never heard of round 5, or you're calling Lorak an idiot. And I do remember him as one of the most resourceful players I have fought.

By one square in either direction is actually pretty fine, I'd say. Just don't assign anyone in a corner with one bordering province  :)

Keep in mind, that the map starting positions were designed for those specific nations. Your bloody wasteland will actually help you more as Pyth, than farmlands.

I've had a go with a few nations on that map, and it's looking really nice for most of them. Them crabs, lobsters and fish have it tough, but Palazzo plays them, so we don't care.

I know. But the cities near me, while having 30k population, generate about 50 gold per turn

4k pop, 40 income on the closest wasteland, then it differs in pop to around 12k at times, but with plains-like income. Seems normal to me.

You SURE you didn't have turmoil 3 sloth 3 death 3 AND 90 unrest? For a 30k to generate 50 income, there is no other way. Wasteland or not.
