4k pop, 40 income on the closest wasteland, then it differs in pop to around 12k at times, but with plains-like income. Seems normal to me.

You SURE you didn't have turmoil 3 sloth 3 death 3 AND 90 unrest? For a 30k to generate 50 income, there is no other way. Wasteland or not.

I'll check things when I get home. But yeah, it strikes me as really weird too.

   The problem is that there probably won't be a next one for a while. There are 3 games either just begun or getting close to beginning right now. Also more people = better and there are few enough in this game that waiting a couple weeks is fine in my book.

I figured out why I was making so little money. It's because the pop was only 3K AND the provinces were wastelands.

Believe it or not, wasteland has more or less the same income as plains.
Unless i'm horribly mistaken here, Waste only messes supplies and resources up.

No, it says on the wasteland icon ""Very Low Income and Resources"

Yeah, horrible income and resources with low populations.  The bonus would be a higher chance of finding magic sites there.

Yes, the tooltip says that, but i don't see a difference in income.

Edit : I think it's because the Waste provinces on this map, are all large. Thusly they nullify the penalty from wastes..?
