I step away from the PC for all of two hours -- while you're offline -- and meanwhile an OFFICIAL MW succession game starts?... and what kind of a real fortress do you think it can be without a Foole?  Well, -- many will be watching.  G'luck.

Awesome.

Poor smake. The god he worshipped killed him.

But despair not, brave followers, for we have migrants coming to our beautiful place. The new migrants:

Two scholars:
Coal Constructstasis, a Ambassador
Hex Boltmine, a Scribe

And a married couple of plebs:
Armor Murkquie, a Farmworker
Corridor Scrapedusk, a Furnace Operator

Coal Constructstasis has been quite content lately.

He is a citizen of The Arrows of Revering.  He is a member of The Banner of Hearts.  He is a former member of The Rings of Kindness.  He is a former member of The Craterous Terrors.  He arrived at Masterwork Fortress on the 26th of Hematite in the year 41.
He has the appearance of somebody that is forty-three years old and is one of the first of his kind.
He is very weak.  He is very weak.  His very short sideburns are neatly combed.  His very long moustache is arranged in double braids.  His very long beard is arranged in double braids.  His hair is clean-shaven.  His teeth are tangled.  He has high cheekbones, and he has very round chin.  His nose bridge is incredibly concave.  His ears are somewhat short.  His eyes have thin irises.  His short upturned nose is sharply hooked.  He has a narrow chin.  His lips are thin.  His skin is pale taupe.  His eyes are bronze.
He is quick to heal, but he is quite clumsy and unquestionably weak.
Coal Constructstasis likes courage, bronze, bone of armok, cow horn, giant drowspider silk, floodgates, crutches and flying squirrels for their large eyes.  When possible, he prefers to consume river spirits.  He absolutely detests fire ants.
He has a great feel for social relationships and a very good sense of the position of his own body, but he has a questionable spatial sense and quite poor focus.
He rarely feels discouraged.  He is comfortable in social situations.  He appreciates art and natural beauty.  He tends not to openly express emotions.  He is candid and sincere in dealings with others.  He is immodest.  He tries to live a well-organized life.  He strives for excellence.  He is extremely cautious.  When he gets excited, he often tells stories without any real point.  He needs alcohol to get through the working day.  He likes working outdoors and grumbles only mildly at inclement weather.

Armor Murkquiet has been quite content lately.
He is married to Corridor Scrapedusks.
He is a citizen of The Arrows of Revering.  He is a member of The Banner of Hearts.  He is a former member of The Burnt Tunnels.  He is a former member of The Craterous Terrors.  He arrived at Masterwork Fortress on the 26th of Hematite in the year 41.
He has the appearance of somebody that is forty-one years old and is one of the first of his kind.
His medium-length sideburns are neatly combed.  His very long moustache is arranged in double braids.  His very long beard is arranged in double braids.  His very long hair is braided.  He has high cheekbones, and he has a very narrow chin.  His nose bridge is incredibly concave.  His ears are somewhat short.  His extremely long nose is sharply hooked.  His slightly close-set wide-set eyes have thin irises.  His lips are thin.  He is average in size.  His hair is amber.  His skin is pale taupe.  His eyes are bronze.
He is slow to tire, but he is clumsy and susceptible to disease.
Armor Murkquiet likes turquoise green copper glaze, thick, light yellow diamond, the color mint green, padded trousers, cages, rings and cockatiel men for their crests.  When possible, he prefers to consume cougar and hell wine.  He absolutely detests bats.
He has a natural inclination toward language, a feel for music and a good spatial sense, but he has a meager kinesthetic sense and little willpower.
He is somewhat reserved.  He loves a good thrill.  He does not have a great aesthetic sensitivity.  He has a profound understanding of his own feelings.  He is entranced by riddles and puzzles and loves to debate issues and ideas.  He is not easily moved to pity.  He is organized.  He finds rules confining.  He thinks it is incredibly important to strive for excellence.  He needs alcohol to get through the working day.  He likes working outdoors and grumbles only mildly at inclement weather.

Corridor Scrapedusk has been quite content lately.
She is married to Armor Murkyquieted.
She is a citizen of The Arrows of Revering.  She is a member of The Banner of Hearts.  She is a former member of The Burnt Tunnels.  She is a former member of The Craterous Terrors.  She arrived at Masterwork Fortress on the 26th of Hematite in the year 41.

She has great intuition, a very good feel for social relationships and good creativity, but she has very bad analytical abilities.
She isn't given to flights of fancy.  She does not have a great aesthetic sensitivity.  She is willing to compromise with others.  She is immodest.  She is disorganized.  She is self-disciplined.  She needs alcohol to get through the working day.

Hex Boltmine has been quite content lately.

She is a citizen of The Arrows of Revering.  She is a member of The Banner of Hearts.  She is a former member of The Rings of Kindness.  She is a former member of The Earths of Excavating.  She arrived at Masterwork Fortress on the 26th of Hematite in the year 41.
She has the appearance of somebody that is seventy-two years old and is one of the first of her kind.
She is average in size.  She is average in size.  She has a very narrow chin.  Her short upturned nose is sharply hooked.  Her nose bridge is concave.  Her somewhat splayed out ears have large hanging lobes.  Her thin-irised eyes are wide-set.  Her eyes are slightly protruding.  Her ears are somewhat short.  Her hair is amber.  Her medium-length hair is braided.  Her skin is pale taupe.  Her eyes are bronze.
She is flimsy.

She has a great feel for social relationships, a great kinesthetic sense, a very good sense of empathy and very good focus, but she has poor analytical abilities, little linguistic ability and a really bad memory.
She almost never feels discouraged.  She is trusting.  She is guarded in relationships with others.  She finds helping others rewarding.  She is willing to compromise with others.  She is modest.  She is not easily moved to pity.  She is completely disorganized.  She has a strong sense of duty.  She often gives her knuckles a good crack when she's thinking hard.  She needs alcohol to get through the working day.

Don't trust me keeping anyone alive, do you? :P

Jimboo, no dwarf for you? Or a turn?

An open slot,
The willful sot
Considers his chances
Of riches, romances …

Then remembers he has iffy Wi-Fi for at most another 48 hours in this hotel room and then will be dependent upon a contractor installing a new cable as promised.  That, or Starbucks …
So thanks much for asking but perhaps best if I wait for the next round.  But I get to kibitz, right?   :)  Or be ye holding fast to the definitional distinction between succession and communal?

With a dwarf I meant: Do you want a specific dwarf to be named Jimboo? ;)

Dagger Raincrater, the Weaver.

Four peasants:

He has a great feel for social relationships, a lot of willpower, the ability to focus and a good memory, but he has meager creativity.
He is somewhat reserved.  He is assertive.  He doesn't need thrills or risks in life.  He is open-minded to new ideas.  He is put off by authority and tradition.  He is slow to trust others.  He is very straightforward with others.  He does not go out of his way to help others.  He doesn't like to compromise with others.  He needs alcohol to get through the working day.

Net Raspscourge has been quite content lately.
She is a worshipper of Boulder and a casual worshipper of Torch the Castles of Heating.
She is a citizen of The Arrows of Revering.  She is a member of The Banner of Hearts.  She arrived at Masterwork Fortress on the 4th of Sandstone in the year 41.

She is incredibly tough, but she is susceptible to disease and quite clumsy.
Net Raspscourge likes obsidian, steampowered, grand toxic gem, ironbark, padded gloves, buckets, landmines for their unending patience and sudden explosions and frozen skulls for their blue ghostfire.  When possible, she prefers to consume royal dwarven beer and dwarven sugar.  She absolutely detests fire ants.
She has great creativity, a sum of patience and a feel for music, but she has poor empathy and a poor ability to manage or understand social relationships.
She occasionally overindulges.  She is rarely happy or enthusiastic.  She has a great awareness of her own emotions.  She finds rules confining.  She needs alcohol to get through the working day.  She likes working outdoors and grumbles only mildly at inclement weather.

The dwarves worked on... the last of the three injured finally arose out of the traction bench, the only one to survive the infection and fever. The migrants worked together, building many wonderous things, but one of them... was different. He was sneaky and seeminly detached, and made notes of everything he saw...

But in the meantime, other things kep the dwarves busy. We dug away all the ramps of our hilltop, made a suit of iron for our milita commander, build walls and a trade depot, sheared and spun, milked and butchered. Nestboxes for the 8 surviving birds were set up, although no plant nor seed has been seen in this fortress as of yet. Then... nymphs stole clothing from us... guess they were sick of running around naked, a caravan followed shortly after, and we made trade agreements for next year. Our broker ordered a lot of things, so making valuable tradegoods is a high priority for next year. This year we sadly couldnt trade much, due to our late start of work...

But this peasant... he kept spying. We didnt know what to do? Kill one of ours? Expell him into the wild? Maybe wall him in, so he cannot do any harm? ... We concluded that we should try to save him, and build a shrine to Armok. We made a ceremonial statue, to build an altar... and we butchered lifestock and made ceremonal totems, to build a grand temple. In this very temple we prayed to Armok that he should cure this dwarf of his odd behaviour, drive out the possession that has taken him... but alas, Armok did not help us. A ward did flicker up in the temple, but even it could not change the nature of a man.... We did what every good dwarf would have done. We dragged Canyon Righttorment to the temple, we laid him onto the altar and we sacrificed his life to Armok. This is the best way, it is our way.

Armok did reward us for our faith, with a suit of armor, now worn by our military commander, Meph. And next to the others that died of infections, he lies, poor Canyon. May he sleep well.

This is a basalt memorial to Canyon Righttorment.
The slab reads "In memory of Canyon Righttorment / Born 29 / Bled to death in the year 41 / Loving father and husband / Lover of coins".
