Is there any difference between the "Craft candle (tallow)" and the "Craft tallow candle" reactions in the craftsbolds?

Also, does the arena use the new spawning system?

No there is no difference between the two candle reactions and I doubt that the arena does use the new system. You'll probably need changelings for it.

The Breeding Warren let's you summon more kobolds to work with; sort of like the Dwarven Townportal, but instead of spending coins you spend a stack of meat.

bone studs can still be made.... But I think all uses were removed....

Last I checked you could still make studded leather. Its in the leathertrimmer building last I played bolds.

With dwarves, you would research the liquid spawner and that would enable them. Not sure about kobolds. There might be a DFhack utility for enabling them somewhere. Besides, the magma generator is essentially a magma smelter and kobolds can make 3 coke from one wood log. I don't think that you need them that desperately with kobolds, unless you're planning on making everything out of metal.

and you now remember that there is no wood on my map... And a ton of buildings need wood... and even simple stuff like crutches and splints are a problem... Not even talking about making a gazillion of glass blocks^^

Im having trouble of not actually being able to embark as kobolds, is this an easy issue to fix or have I just not hit the right embark profile?

do you have other races marked as playable?if so you need to choose a Kobold civ from the list of civs on the embark screen.tap Tab tell you see a list of civ names,choose one,then hit tab tell you see a list of races,the race of the civ you chose is the top one.also,make sure Kobolds are marked as playable,they arent playable by defualt.if they are not you will have to gen a new world

If you're talking about the kobold workshops that are tentlike in origin, then you need 3 units of leather[I usually use thin suede if I'm low on leath] and a log and occasionally additional specialized items.

Look at "silk farm" in the wiki. Its the same in vanilla df. You get the spider to shoot at things.
