Is there a way to remove specialist titles? For example I have Urist McDwarf *Ashkin* *Ashkin* *Flamemancer*    I tried giving him the custom profession "Wizard" to hopefully remove the titles but now he's Urist McDwarf, Wizard *Ashkin*. 

The reason I'm trying to remove these is that guilded dwarves often have such long titles that I can't see what their current job is in the 'u' menu.

Hello. I've just recently really gotten into Dwarf Fortress and decided to instead of playing unmodded to just for go Masterworks directly. I've played DF before but never really gotten into it and never really learned it. So with my current fort of currently 77 dwarves, everything is fine and dandy. Lots of alcohol and lots of food... But I've now gotten a problem with one of the Masterwork workshops. Mainly the Stonecutters shop. Whenever I try to use the workshop everything except magma-safe blocks are unable to be built.

When I press one of the red options, all I'm getting is a message saying: "Non-economic IS_STONE blocks". I've made several blocks in the masons workshop so unless the stonecutter don't use those blocks, there's something else that's wrong.

I seriously have no clue what is wrong and I cant find the stone/rock blocks in the list of stone(either they're not there or I'm just blind). The normal rocks are set to be enabled to be used by workshops (they're mostly Marble and Gneiss). Have I done something wrong or is there some other problem?

Are the blocks tasked for anything, such as a construction? You can check i(t)ems in the building by hovering to see if they're available for work, if the item is listed with a cyan "TSK" marker then it's already being used in another job. If that is the case, then you'll just have to make more blocks.

They shouldn't be. I got over 150 blocks lying around to be used.

Too late. Why wouldn't I go for something that would balance the game for me? At least that's what I've gotten from the information on the download page. And if you kept reading, you would have noticed that I also said that I've played DF before but never really gotten into it.

Are you feeding the cutter's workshop from stockpile(s) that aren't (or can't) stocking blocks?

I wasn't feeding the workshop at all. They're always getting the stuff they need anyway.

But even when I try to give it a workshop, it doesn't work. Still having the same problem =(

IS_STONE is something I added to the stone template, so single out dirt, clay and other seemingly non-refined non-hard inorganics. It should work prefectly fine with marble and the like. Maybe because as flux, it counts as economic?

It was the burrow! I had made a burrow and set a cleaner to it that was outside of the stockpile range a while ago due to an epidemic I had wandering around. People was running around my workshop level and vomited all over the place. It's not being used anymore and I had just  forgotten to remove it. Thank you for the help :D

I considered asking about the burrow as well but I didn't expect someone who describes himself as newish to DF to have used one.

I might be "newish" to DF but I'm a quick learner. The fortress I'm currently playing might not be the most optimal one but it's the one I've succeeded with the most... And it's only my third try. Currently on my fifth year with about 112 dwarves currently living in my fort. :3

Only problem I've had so far in this fort is this one with the burrow and the workshop but at least now I know til next time.

1) What does this mean?

I hadn’t seen anything like this until version 4h.  MW4h is my partitioned subdirectory with the unzipped DFFD d/l file, same as always.

Significant or no? 

2) Sometimes – but not always – when restarting a saved game, SoundSense is just ‘gone’ and requires another update from scratch.  Does this happen to anyone else?
