Nah, I think I looked through Putnams metals at some point, you did send them to me... so I picked some names, copied them in, but didnt like the properties of it. A rare metal thats not good? Nah, cant be done, that makes no sense. Rare things are always good. So I changed it.  :)

sorry i posted this a lot in other irrelevance areas but i need help thanks!

hello, i am in a evil Arctic area and I have a big problem. i have cave wheat and other crops growing under ground, however NON of them are BEING harvested.
 My stockpiles have been reset and a dwarf moves up stating the action "Harvest plant" or of the like and he goes into the tile and leaves the plant there untouched.

 Is this issue only with me or with the entirety of everyone else? i don't understand what is going on. is there somthing i need to build extra to harvest crops? thanks.

Nothing Meph could have possibly done could do that. It's probably just barrel oddities.

Nop i tried everything. Including : resetting stockpiles, forbidding and unforbidding, destroying the farm (at least get some seads back), setting new stockpiles and trying to use the item itself, aint working one little bit. Any helps?

This is sort of a game play question. What is the tech level of the dwarves? I see some things that would only be attainable through higher tech, where as right next to those things you have a dwarf using an anvil to craft more tools.

What's the harvester doing, picking it and just leaving the cave wheat stack there on the ground to rot?  Or moving to the plant and failing to even pick it?

Do golden salve and valley herbs do anything special?  What about the cure all plants you can buy?

Cureall raises disease resistance and recuperation, golden salve and valley herb are from vanilla, they are only good as tradegoods.

Query: In adventure mode, when using the advfort tools, what would be the easiest way to go about making a pick, and an anvil? I didn't see any tools under the basic X key crafting menu's that allowed you to make either, and since anvil's in the normal game have the whole chicken and the egg problem...

Yeah, I can't find anything in the RAWs, but I don't really know what I'm looking for outside of "Go through anything that remotely looks like it could include the adventurer reactions and try adding...

To it. I just ripped that out of Genesis Reborn's RAWs though. Was hoping that might work, but I haven't had any luck with it yet... but again, I really have no clue what I'm doing.

How Do I get a specific dwarf to join a guildhall? I built a guildhall, then click "join the smiths guild", and it just has whatever random dwarf that doesnt happen to have a labor come and be the apprentice.

I want to have a dwarf that is already a smith join the smiths guild as opposed to a random farmer etc. Plus, I don't have any gold on my map so I am relying on melting relics for my gold, which makes me a little more choosy as to who i put into the guilds...


Please don't beat up on me if this has already been discussed  :)  I find it damn near impossible to find specific information. The best way I have of gleaning any specific info is to do a google search or a thread search here, but 9 times out of 10, it isnt specific to my question... I end up having to read through 700 posts trying to find anything lol.

You need a manager, then you go to the guild, go to the profile, then you take the dwarf of your liking to be active
