**BUG**

Version: 3e
default settings

  • In order to specify that military dwarves use leather gauntlets and in order to make them at the Leatherworker, the [LEATHER] token needs to be added to the [ITEM_GLOVES:ITEM_GLOVES_GAUNTLETS_D] item description in the item_gloves.txt file.
  • inorganic_guild.txt should have all instances of [SYN_CLASS:\WORKER_ONLY][SYN_CLASS:\WORKER_ONLY] changed to [SYN_CLASS:\COMMAND][SYN_CLASS:\WORKER_ONLY]. I haven't experienced any spill over on the transformation reactions with this change.

Give a dwarf a fish, you feed him for a season.
Give a dwarf a Fishpond, couple of buckets, build a Fishery, and enable Fishfarming labor; you feed him for a lifetime. (And get someone to clean and prep the fish)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

tried to gen a world that crashed at year 1050.

btw Billy, I don't think that's a mistake.  It's the same as last version, in last version I was able to build leather guantlets in the leatherworks, I'm about to verify it's working in this, but the item you mentioned has a _d at the end of it, which most likely means it for a creature, I did however notice their is a "gloves" vs guantlets that has letaher.

The errorlog isn't really related, especially since the errorlog itself says that all of your errors are irrelevant.

Anyway, why are you genning such a long world anyway?

aged dragons, people on reddit also said such worlds were more "fun!".  As the regions have evolved, and some species won the survival race.

Billy:
Your right, no more leather gauntlets... (that's always been a pet peeve bug of mine, there's been other of Meph's mod's (accelerated modest mod) had a sim issue.

Ok, it noted. Dont know how I forgot the /COMMAND and double /WORKER_ONLY. -.-

Dragons are fully grown in 10 years. But no way for you to know this, since its in a changelog thats 1,5 years old. My custom worldgens are capped at 200 years, which is plenty for secrets and towers to arise.

I wouldn't trust reddit on that kind of advice, hehe.

I can't open the military screen, it only opens the preference thing.

EDIT: And now it is working. What the hell?

I assume that your ALT key was stuck. To quote the new manual I specifically wrote for dfhack:

Quote
Important: If you Alt+Tab out of the game, for example the access the dfhack console or Dwarf Therapist, Dwarf Fortress thinks that you are still pressing the Alt key. For all intents and purposes it gets stuck. This means all keypresses will be interpreted as Alt+Something, for example Ctrl+C would be Ctrl+Alt+C. To fix this simply press the Alt key once, it will get un-stuck.

inorganic_magic_transform.txt has the same issue as inorganic_guild.txt

Just started up a 3e fort, embark options has blank and unknown items again.  Is it just me?

Someone, get the bug zapper! What do you mean that won't work on a bug the size of a house which glows? No, I don't want to hear it. Just get the damn zapper.

ElenaRoan: The Embark section is one thing I check very carefully before I upload something. Check your errorlog for DUPLICATE, I guess you have some raw entries double. Must be an installation error, did you maybe copy something over an old version?

If not, and you just unpacked, and do find DUPLICATE_ entries in your errorlog, please let me know which tileset you use.

Bug report;
3E meph tileset (matrix)

Turning simple meats off in the settings and I can embark with hair chop, cartilage chop, chitin chop, and armoured raptor (male) chop.
Mmm. Hair chops 8)
//edit
Umm... I'm also finding rough hewn fireball walls. Oh lord.
//Double Edit
Also zombified dwarves still yell battlecries. It's horrifically hilarious :o
