The errorlog is harmless. I would need more info. When does it crash, what do you do? Is it repeatable, or random? If you have a save that crashes relyably at the same time, please upload it, then I can have a look.

Why is lamellar a kind of material, anyway? That's like making "chain" a material.
Its a good point. I just use leather and thread to make lamellar leather, so its just a workstep to cut leather to pieces and make lamellar... just as if someone takes a metal bar, makes a metal chain, then makes the chainmail... but I thought about cutting it down a step.
If you're going to bind leather and metal together to create a better armor than the leather itself, you'll need to create a new material.
Perhaps the Lamellar material should stay but only be a product of making Lamellar armors from tough leather and metal.

Lamellar has no metal in it. Its just this: Little leather plates with thread to tie it together.

For some reason my woodcutter is grabbing all available plants, bringing them to the sawmill and turning them into "seeds" under the job: cut farmed spore-tree sapling. I have stopped this from happening by creating a stockpile only for saplings, but it is rather annoying, chewed through a bunch of my food supplies before I noticed and left me with ambiguous "seeds" I don't know what to do with.

Ascii tileset, version V.4d

Which version and which tileset? I remember that the spore tree sapling was missing in one, but I thought I fixed it... maybe it got overwritten.

Real lamellar armour is just a style of armour I believe, it can be made from any material. You can make it with metal or leather plates, perhaps even a combination.

By the way, is rabies supposed to be linked to the disease-button? Because I still got rabid dogs/dwarves when I turned diseases off (4d), but I didn't notice any other diseases.

After Meph was so kind and helped me with my workshop problem and burrows, I recognized a different thing: I had the military garrison in a burrow with a coin stock, some food and drinks. I placed the one squad at a time inside it and wanted to transform them into military recruits. Just had one task at a time, but they took the gold and never transformed to a recruit. When I removed the burrow, the garrison was working fine again. No problem with the guild and burrows, though. A coincidence? Am I the only one experiencing not working transformations of this kind?

Edit: Oh, and wanted to mention: Are the dwarves supposed to strip naked when they join a guild? :D

Dropping all of their stuff is a side affect of the transformations, they usually return to pick it all up again right after, so you shouldn't need to worry about it.

Not sure about any issues with burrows and the Garrison building. I've pretty much always used workshop profiles to select the right dwarves.

Ah, ok, thanks. Just to clarify: Using burrow and workshop profile. While talking of workshop profile: Is it possible to use the search function or to implement it?

There is a simple little hack which makes workshop profiles much easier to use:

Select the dwarves you want to assign to the workshop in Dwarf Therapist and give them a nickname.
Open the workshop profile to get the list of dwarves and press shift-alt-n to have DFHack arrange it in alphabetical order. Dwarves with nicknames will be at the bottom, so press the up-arrow.

Good tip.  Thank you.

I usually don't nickname anyone, but that will help immensely.

Using a lot of nicknames, but the tip with the alphabetical sorting is really good! Many thanks.
