Should Scaleplate/Chitinplate/Shellplate reduced to "Scale/Chitin/Shell", and "Rigid X-plate" to "X-plate". It would shorten names a lot.

Depends on race. And not WALLS, but rock. Some can deconstruct walls as well. I'll think of something, probably one digging underground race, one digging aboveground race and one wall-destroyer. Frost Giants or something.

I'd love to add this to megabeasts as well. :)

Why shit? ^^

There is not pathfinding through walls, they first find a wall thats in the way, deconstruct it, then pathfind again, just like dwarves would if you lock/unlock doors or bridges. And I wont handle that, expwnent wrote the script and its pretty much done. It works.

Because plating every wall and floor with zinc/lead/some other worthless metal won't keep them out.

Just saying: They will be optional. Enable Diggin. Enable Deconstruction. Enable Both.

I might even do a race like kobolds, call them "goblin digging team", that only sends invisible thieves that can dig. Just because. So normal goblins do not dig, but sometimes you get a digging dude trying to sabotage his way into your fort.
