nows from the update page, the new default buildings are being implemented to the game, well, they're just default models made by other players, but you can design your own, now its possible to create building designs and save them in paper instead of blank disks, the design studio got a revamp in its initial material requirements, so people can design buildings eager in the game.

no info about the next big patch yet, but its supposed to be tied to city combat...

It is nice to hear things go forward on SOH, but the order of adding and fixing stuff is byond me :)
Like climbing up to tree feet first, hard but doable.

This, and some of the other things added since I last played SoH, sounds awesome!

I want to try the game again so badly, but I know that I will quit due to horrible lag after a couple days... like I've done every single time before  :-\

Oh, wow, buildings. Granted this is probably low-hanging fruit for him - the entire game is based off of his CAD program, after all. Still, getting back into this, assuming my laptop can handle it

For the record, I've founded a vaguely successful empire, working on research right now and expanding citizen numbers.  I would not directly suggest anyone join my empire, but once I get some better tech and stuff I can try to make some warp ships.  That way people can make their own race, join my empire, take a ship out to another system, and found their own empire within trading distance of mine.

The reduction in network bandwidth consumed by ringworlds will be huge.
A thing that fixes lag? What is this!?

The patch yesterday fixed my disconnection issue. Now I have my first off-world colony gearing up to produce decent-quality luminite and meh-quality eludium(there's better in-system).

tends to happen, one moon has better lumenite than eludium, while the other has the oposite. same happens sometimes with molten and frigid planets.

Argh, went to go build a new space station, only to find that the crate carrying everything I had, including all my designs up to that point, mysteriously disappeared. What the hell.

I appear to have dropped it while trying to drop something that was in it. I can see it now, actually. If it wasn't for the lag, I could recover it.

Maybe not the lag, it might be the issue I thought was fixed.

happens too, with the way gravity works, they even can be sent far away if you give them enough force.
