Yeah understand how that feels. Hazeron doesn't bother me as much, but like Haven and Hearth by myself is boring as heck. So when the bay12 group kinda died on it (or did we get conquered? I forgot), pretty much got super bored. So I get you :)

Maybe more people will join up and check things out, though the pay thing seems to deter people (the price isn't much to me, cheaper than WoW, but guess it is to others)

People tend to do much less warmongering then in the past.
Even in the PvP galaxy shooting incidents between empires are rather rare.

The last time my ships fought something from a player empire was several months back, and I'm living in a part of the hazeron universe that contains several semi-active empires.

So tempting. Maybe i stream it on Twitch for giggles when play it :)
That would keep me in for some time and maybe get to hook up with more people.

I did enjoy the game when it was free. Small bugs and huge lagg surpassed when it offered so much more.

It goes against my experience, since I returned back to the game nearly a week ago. My "first contact" turned into a swift conquering of my little fledgling empire with no warning at all. I probably asked for it with insufficient focus on defense and my races lack of HP however.

Think I saw you in-game, though was focused on trying to figure out trade so wasn't paying much attention to chat. Were you the one saying the game felt laggy because moving the camera feels like its on a grid? I noticed that early on, that the camera is kinda jittery cause of it. Everything else is smooth. Still a lot of fun though, but it definitely isn't the smoothest thing.

Its probably the engine the game is running. Usually that is an engine thing, and I don't imagine it being an easy fix if that is the case. Probably why its been like that for a long time. To be honest, I'd give up trying to fix it if I was haxus, and was the one developing the game, if it was an engine problem :P

Imofexios: Are you getting 3005 errors? (That's what I'm getting, but for Star Ruler 2: Wake of the Heralds, not Hazeron)

Well, I'm playing again and my first impressions are pretty standard. It's definitely Hazeron. New inventory UI doesn't feel that bad - even though I still prefer the old inventory, this new one seems like one of Haxus' better-done UIs.
Rest of the UI seems a bit improved, but still not past that Hazeron level. Gameplay so far isn't worse at this point.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

It used to be so simple to pay with card and not forced to make paypal account like nowadays >:(

Edit: I got all sorted out on paypal and playing again :D
Which sector people are so could spawn on same area for trading purposes etc. ?

You can pair your cc with paypal. It is MUCH MORE SECURE when you leave your cc informations in one place instead of hundred. Also, at least in european countries there are laws that forbid companies from saving/processing cc information unless they meet certain standards, and some of them are stupid. That's why they prefer to use user-visible paypal integration (most of normal user sales) or invisible to user braintree integration (most of b2b sales).

Actually having some fun again in this game. Too bad the galaxy is so quiet.
Haxus actually implemented some use for the government building. Now i can do all the manufacturing on one place :)
Maybe iīm lucky enough to find someone to do some trading.

Lag's long gone. At least for me. Haxus has done plenty of optimization updates in the last year or two. Moving is now predicted by the client, removing the really annoying lag-jumps which were more or less the way life worked in ye olde Hazeron. He's also done some other prediction stuff and networking updates.

My biggest problem is the cursor movement, but you get used to that mostly. The game isn't perfectly smooth, but it's not characterized by lag anymore.

Oh damn you people making me want to play it again. It's so expensive for me, though, but I miss dem Bay12 empires.  :P
