A simple bing search for 'hazeron forums' finds them: http://hazeron.com/phpBB3/index.php

I imagine google works too, or whatever else you care to try.

Awww. I played Hazeron for all of 15 seconds before lag made me quit.

But I got several hours of joy reading about your miss adventures.

It just doesn't make sense to shut down after something like that. Not on such short notice anyway.

The website has been hacked before, I clearly remember someone replacing the windows version of the installer with an infected one quite a while ago. I wouldn't be surprised if this was just another attempt to kill the project. There are more then enough people mad at haxus to do this sort of thing.

Heres to confirm it, Haxus is done for awhile: too much stress, lack of funding, wants to work on smaller things for awhile (like possibly Gravity Well 2).

Thanks for Playing.

The funny thing is that after the lag was fixed last week I honestly thought the project was going into high gear.

RIP SoH. I tried it yearly and always uninstalled it after a few days due to lag frustrations, but the sheer ambitiousness of the project held a special place in my heart.

The first thing I did when I saw the site was check the date and hope it was April 1st.

But no, that's fine. I'll just cry myself to sleep tonight.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

I never played it, but it sounded great. Some dudes in an IRC channel I frequent had just set up their own empire.

Shame, I had wanted to try it at some point but was always too put off by stories of the game's horrendous lag. I guess I missed my one opportunity to try it in a playable state.

Here's hoping that something else just as ambitious comes along eventually.

It's confirmed that Haxus did shut it down on himself, serveral people asked him through phone.
He won't proably relase the source code too.
