There's been some Hamachi groups for this game before, but Hamachi has some pretty severe limits now. So we've revived our little Touhou Hisoutensoku community again on Steam! This does means you'll have to portforward, or at least play with a host who has (or just resort to Hamachi if two of you can't portforward), but that should be easy enough.

The group name is "Bay12 Hisoutensoku!" We already have a good amount of players, and there's been some really fun times with a lot of us playing and chatting.

Also, we've all agreed to use a program called SokuRoll. It's easy to install and use, and improves network play. Just make sure you have your game and English patch updated to 1.10a, both of which can be found on the wiki here:

Hope to see some more players around. We generally only play Hisoutensoku, but feel free to play other Touhou games like Hopeless Masquerade or Touhou Sky Arena.

Jus had a nice series of matches. Nothing like both players using their ultimates and the insuing mutually assured destruction that follows.

Yep, this is great fun. Don't worry about being bad at the game, we've got plenty of lower end players. Play as meiling personally.

It's been terribly empty the past two days... Don't think there's even been one match. I don't think anyone new will come up at this point, but regardless, is everyone just losing interest or what? It's been lots of fun those times a lot of us were playing or spectating and all the chat antics along with it.

It's been a while since I've played this, but I think I'll reinstall and give it a go. My Meiling's more than a bit rusty, but I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things after a bit of practice.
