Most humiliating deaths?
« on: April 27, 2013, 03:21:35 pm »

Basically, this thread is not for amazing or boring deaths, but for the ones that would get you laughed out of any game other than DF.

Mine was when as a steel-clad necromancer vampire with superdwarvenly stats and an army consisting mainly of night creatures were taken down by a most unsuspected foe... a baby. This baby would not die. It took several poundings with a hammer and merely got bruised. My zombie army barely scratched it. and when I finally got in a good enough hit to break it's legs... it turned into a were-lizard and bit off my head.

Only in DF.

I was swimming through a river, looking for food. I got in and my companions did too. They, of course, drowned. I continued swimming until I found a squid, which I hit, but it counterattacked and rooted one of his tentacles into my brain. Yup, DF.

Dingoes might as well be renamed "free food", right? An attack by a pack of dingoes means free food for as long as your adventurer lives. A peasant with no skills has been able to fight off as many as three at a time in Arena mode blood sports scientific experiments. No problem for a demigod adventurer, right?

Not a problem until you somehow sleep through them chewing both of your hands and feet off.
