Evil Rain should give Dwarfs Happy Toughts
« on: April 24, 2013, 12:30:43 am »

Its just something that was bugging me-

When a Evil Rain drops,it sometimes is blood of a certian race(Elf,Goblin)
The problem is that it gives Dwarfes a unhappy thought.
It should be normal and all untill you look at the game name and realize the player is Armok,The God of Blood

So,why does Blood rain make you Dwarfs Sadder?

Just cause they're his slaves doesn't mean they're happy about it.  Maybe if it rained exceptionally well-crafted cheese...

Listen up: making a thing a ‼thing‼ doesn't make it more awesome or extreme.  It simply indicates the thing is on fire.  Get it right or look like a silly poser.

It's useful to keep a ‼torch‼ handy.

Dwarves aren't bloodthirsty and sadistic creatures.
Armok The God of Blood is simply a title for the game  :P

Indeed. They just don't know any better than to listen to the voices in their heads (so long as they're not on break.)

Their weak wills are what make them Slaves to Armok (TM).

...they'd all get concussions and die with a smile permanently engraved on their face. :P

Note that Armok never appears in-game.

Also consider practical consequences. Know how blood clots? Imagine it doing that in your clothes. That's happened to me once, although I was a bit too concerned about the gash in my calf to worry about my pants.

We're reassigning you from carpentry to something you can't hurt yourself on like soap making. Congratulations on your new life.

On a serious note, dwarves are just short, stout people with a penchant for digging. Getting caught in a rainstorm is unpleasant. I can only imagine getting caught in a bloody rainstorm with improper clothing is worse.

Note that Armok never appears in-game.
He's mentioned in Chapter I.

"Armok works on the details..."
"Armok considers your past..."
"Armok looks over all that now exists..."
"Armok has watched X lives unfold here."

It's very heavily implied that you (actual you, not as in your character) are Armok, able to influence multiple universes (saves.) And remember folks: When you delete saves, you're condemning entire universes to oblivion!

Pff. In Armok 1, the entire universe was so empty it didn't really matter anyway :P

Actually looking at that Bumber I think you got it wrong

The implication is that the program itself is Armok.

Would have merit, except for the fact that the program isn't the one dragging the sliders and "working on the details". No, the real truth is that Armok is the one controlling you while you control the sliders.

Technically, Arm_Ok is just the variable that checks if your arms are still attached.
