That was one of the best fight scenes ever. Jeez. Not having read the book that was some scary stuff for me.
And Tyrion's killing spree was kinda cool too, even if his reasons for the second part were rather lame. I like how Varys goes "What did you do?" and then hears the bells as the ship is leaving and goes and gets on it himself. His face was priceless.

And Arya! Finally! Now we just have to wait a measly year to see what adventures await her in Braavos.

Show changes that annoyed me:

• Asha/Yara/whatever's abortive rescue of Theon. Dafuq was that? You're armed, wearing armor, but you let some shirtless psychopath and a couple of dogs chase you off? Bro, do you even reave?
• "Only Cat." -> "Your sister."
• Tysha / "Wherever whores go." -> Shae / "Are you afraid of a dead whore?"

Things that were more awesome in the show:

• Tyrion's big speech during the trial (much of it was just internal monologue in the book).
• Pedro Pascal as Oberyn; book Oberyn was never that cool.

I also loved the Hound's bit with Polliver ("...every fucking chicken in this room."). And "Meryn FOOKING Trant" is permanently lodged in my brain; I can't even say his name normally anymore.

Also I just realised something.  The hound was walking funny by the time he got to the bloody gate because of his infection and he still fought Brienne.  Seems fitting that the 3rd largest person kills the 2nd largest person in the 7 kingdoms (Hodor doesn't count he is north of the wall), but that is one hell of a handicap.  Shame we didn't get more Hound fights. On the bright side CLEGANEBOWL IS STILL GO

It makes more sense in the books. In the final conversation between Tyrion and Jamie Tyrion finds out that his first wife was not a whore and that Tywin had told Jamie to say he had paid her to pretend for him.

Tyrion showing up on Varys doorstep, like an errant little boy was priceless.  "I think I did a bad thing."

Really, it was more "wind up all the plot threads for the end of the season."

Yeah, of course, but the whole "don't you dare call the whore I just murdered a whore!" thing was a bit silly.
If he'd just walked in there and shot him for being a dick all his life I'd be all for it! Although I will miss Tywin as a character.
