I have no idea what they're talking about, and I read the books, although a while ago.

Reread the epilogue of Book 3. I'd forgotten about it too until recently.

We didn't actually see him die, so it's not like that's confirmed or anything. He's just badly wounded enough to think he's going to die.

Is it just me or are GoT hitting a problem where they've had more "TV" portrayals of characters, namely making everyone a bit less morally ambiguous (because it's TV and you have to do that on TV apparently), and they're hitting the point in the books where the characters actions are so driven by that moral ambiguity that they no longer match the actions one would imagine from the current TV characters personalities.

The show is dark and full of errors.

Seriously, why'd they cut out that whole conversation between Tyrion and Jaime for a feel-good brotherly hug? That conversation was the redefining point for both their characters: the moment Tyrion has his worldview upset and burns his last bridge in Westeros and the moment Jaime starts harboring doubts about Cersei's infidelity.

At least we won't get a chorus of "where do whores go" throughout Season 5, I guess. Also it's gonna be fun seeing how Varys and Tyrion interact in Pentos.

Sandor Clegane didn't die but was healed by the Elder Brother and is the limping gravedigger on the Quiet Isle which Brienne &co. visit. And/or that he's going to represent the Faith against reanimated Gregor Clegane (which incidentally was pseudo-confirmed in this episode) in Cersei's upcoming trial by combat.

Also Qyburn was much more obviously Nazi-scientist in this episode.

Yeah, for a moment I thought that thing he plugged into the Mountain's skin was a electrode, before remembering that Westeros doesn't have electricity.

Actually I understood that as a sort of less graphic confirmation of Jojenpaste: Jojen sacrifices himself to get Bran where he needs to be.

Agree on the 3eyed raven, that was disappointing.

Also I wonder what they will do with Bran in the next two seasons, there isn't much left for him to do in book 5.
