Is it just me or are GoT hitting a problem where they've had more "TV" portrayals of characters, namely making everyone a bit less morally ambiguous (because it's TV and you have to do that on TV apparently), and they're hitting the point in the books where the characters actions are so driven by that moral ambiguity that they no longer match the actions one would imagine from the current TV characters personalities.

How exactly did a cripple, an epileptic, a simple bear man, and a girl managed to get past the wall anyway?

One minute they were in sparse green land, the next they were in snow. I don't remember the show giving an explanation how they got there.

Aria and the Hound?
On the show they seemed to be becoming the odd couple with a strange closeness. Last episode? Hound's got a broken leg, he's gonna die, so she steals his coin purse and leaves him to linger on without a word.
What the fuck?

Because Arya is not giving a fuck about anything anymore. But honestly, they should have killed the Hound earlier, that business with Pod not even knowing where Arya went is ridiculous.

Although Brienne and the Hound would make a cute couple. If he wasn't dead and all.

As for Bryan and co. they crossed the wall by the same tunnel Fat Man and his Wildling girlfriend used to make it back to castle black, in one of the abandonned Night Watch's castles.

Well I'm finally up to date with the latest season with GoT.
Despite a lot of the good characters being dead, it still managed to stay interesting and even suprise me.

@Hound:
He got some well deserved characterization if you ask me. I almost felt sad for him.

Trust me, the Hound should not have died. Not least because of what he may potentially do in the future.

Apparently they didn't do the crazy mindfuck scene? Gotta read faster, I guess.

Which one?
Also Qyburn was much more obviously Nazi-scientist in this episode.

I have no idea. I'm still in the second book. All I know is that they didn't do the scene. That's what my roommate said last night.

We didn't actually see him die, so it's not like that's confirmed or anything. He's just badly wounded enough to think he's going to die.

I have no idea what they're talking about, and I read the books, although a while ago.
