By GoT standards Is it that bad? Because I know they usually try to make sure there's as much to hate a character as like them, and Jaime's already a child-crippling conniving incest-having ego-unlimited prodigious killer who was born into a life of comfort, luxury and wealth. I reckon it's the timing, since it's the first time we see Jaime be sincere and grieving.
Is it really that bad?

You could technically blame the war of the 5 kings on Littlefinger telling Catelyn that the dagger was Tyrion's. Her kidnapping Tyrion is what prompted Tywin's raids on the Riverlands, setting all the right reasons for war in motion.

Don't get me wrong I'm not really objecting to how bad it makes Jaime look, since the guy can't be made much worse by that what with all he's done so far. I'm just kinda peeved that they didn't make the sex consensual like in the books because now they're likely trying to shift fanbase liking over from Jaime onto someone else.
