Soooo much foreshadowing this episode. Just so damn much. If you knew what was going to happen...

I'm expecting pretty much none of this to end well.

Quick question:

One season = one book?

You don't need to have read the books to know nothing here is going to end well. This is Game of Thrones, after all.

I get the feeling this really was Foreshadowing: The Episode, though. Even inside the episode - Theon's scene had such amazing build-up even if it was obvious what was going to happen.

Ah, yes. "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."

Well... We are at episode seven, and there are twelve episodes in a season, right?

There are only ten episodes per season. They have enough material for the next three episodes for sure.

Yea I guess. A lot of weddings to burn.
Can't wait to see everybodies face when the Hound marries Jorah. Nobody ever sees that one coming.  :P

My friend who's reading ASOS thinks that Joffrey's wedding will be in season 4.

Also, for any book readers who are watching and wondering what's happening with Gendry, Edric Storm's character was merged into him. I don't really know the full significance of this.

I like relaying things from book readers to book readers. It's a dangerous game.

Yea, I realized that was what would happen as soon as he got taken away. Guess you don't need that many bastards? Mya Stone most likely will never get a mention either.

Also, anybody know who is meant to be higher in line for king? Bastard or brother?

Brother. Illegitimate children have to be legitimized before they're placed within the line of succession ... unless there is the political will from someone to place them on the throne.

Because let's face it, at the end of the day the legitimate heir to a kingdom is the person with the force of arms and enduring legacy to stay on the throne.

Bastards have a better claim to the throne than your average dude, so they're good to put at the head of your rebellion or something. People might also turn to a bastard in the absence of any legitimate heirs.

Ok, so that still leaves Stannis as king by blood. Kind of important.
