I recently learned that when Jaqen left Arya he transformed into 'a man with black hair and a scar' and walked away, later we notice that in the prologue, Pate, a young apprentice at the Citadel in Oldtown, is studying to become a maester. He has stolen an important key to a depository of books and records at the request of a stranger in exchange for a reward. Pate clearly describes him as a man with black hair and a scar.After delivering the key, the stranger double-crosses and kills Pate by surreptitiously poisoning him. At the end of the novel, Samwell Tarly arrives at the Citadel to begin his training where he meets a fellow apprentice who introduces himself as "Pate."

Am I right about this? Does anyone know anything else about this?

The Targaryen sigil is one of a dragon with three heads. The prophecy is one of the dragon, who represents the Targaryens, having three heads. The three to ride the three dragons first into Westeros were three Targaryens, it'll be three more to do the same again.
It would make more sense too since the Targaryens have the blood of the Valyrians in them, who are the ones who controlled the dragons to begin with.

The Jojenpaste theory is the theory that Jojen Reeds died when Bran, Hodor, Meera and Summer arrived at the cave with the weirwood in it, and the paste that was given to Bran in order to open his third eye truly... Was not weirwood seeds, but in fact exactly what Bran believed it to be at first: Blood. Blood of a greenseer...
Of course though it would make more sense if weirwood seeds were what were needed to be consumed in order to see and communicate with the tree, and our suspicions are still only suspicions, Jojen and Meera's absence and the Old God's penchance for blood sacrifice are not enough to for certain say that Bran is now a cannibal.
But it's a significant possibility.

What I'm wondering now is, whether I should read more of these theories (keeping in mind that I may never come across them since I can't read it again) or maybe I should be just content in waiting for the new book to come out. But still there are some details which won't be revealed unless you actually search the each line of the book and sometimes, they won't be that obvious to notice.

I really don't believe any of the Lannisters is a Targ, it would diminish their storylines and character conflicts IMHO and the "hints" are pretty inconclusive and much less obvious than R+L=J. Also we don't know yet what the three heads of the dragon are referring to exactly, it does not even have to be a reference to three Targs.
At least there are some things that can be constructed to support this theory, some people just seem to see Targs hidden everywhere, that can get a bit ridiculous.

The thing I like about the Jojenpaste theory is that it is entirely based on the evocative language in the last Bran chapters and reading between the lines. It sounds plausible, but could of course be easily debunked in the next Bran chapter. It fits in with my view that the CotF have their own (possibly very dark) agenda and are not stereotypical nice wood elf creatures.

I had a lot of fun reading some fan theories. As I said I didn't pick up on many of them on first read. It's a good way to bridge the years between books and if I don't have the time to re-read everything I just re-read selectively, as for example in this case:

I can see that. Pies are obviously useful in taming dragons and dragonfire could be used in the industrialized production of baked goods, so Hot Pie's expertise in this field makes him a prime candidate for being The Prince That Was Promised.

So that was ridiculous. Looks like all the setup in the beginning of the season is kicking off into full-fledged war and political zaniness.

Jaime is seriously the best fucking guy ever. Apparently this is the point where a lot of people start really liking him, but I loved him already so this just put him over the top. Also we saw his butt.

Tywin is scary as shit. If his kids weren't so goddamn scared of him this might end up biting him in the ass, but he's pretty fucking scary. Rains of Castamere, you know.

And the fucking fire god is creeping me out. He's a conniving-ass god thing. Why the fuck is he helping out the Brotherhood Without Banners and Stannis? Their goals seem pretty opposed, though I'm not sure for how long. I feel like Stannis is going to end up with some goal besides the Iron Throne eventually, because I find it hard to believe the fire god gives a shit about that. I'm afraid of what the ultimate goal might be.

So I looked this up and kind of hit a spoiler. Apparently the Ironborn attack Slaver's Bay? Which is weird as hell because that's pretty far away. I don't know anything about the context of that, so I'm just going to have to assume Theon teams up with Danaerys.

In my mind it makes sense because Dani needs boats, and Theon needs an ally that doesn't want to kill him. And since pretty much everyone in Westeros hates him, he must head east.

If anyone replies to this train of thought, I'm not going to read it because I don't want to get spoiled. But I thought I'd leave my uninformed musings here for the book readers to laugh at.

Other note: my friend just lent me the first book, so I'm going to start reading that. I'm going to try to avoid reading past ACOK before the season ends, but I might not be able to do that.
