I really expected "the biggest fire the north has ever seen" to be more than a big signal fire in the woods. That fire did not burn a single person to death.

The rest of the episode was pretty awesome, but it's hard to focus on that when there's so much crazy shit that's going to happen next episode.

Is there a lot of stuff in the next episode? They just spent a whole episode on a single battle. Do you think they'll let Jon Snow leaving as a cliffhanger?

Good ep. The pace of the finale is going to be crazy - so much to get through before the season could end, especially

I don't think we're seeing that; it'll be next season for better introduction and getting people to remember.

Tyrion's execution is still looming. There are a bunch of people who need their plotlines for this season wrapped up like Stannis and Arya and Bran. I'm sure not all of them will get an epic finale, but some definitely will. Jon Snow will hopefully have his face-off with Mance, though I guess that could be in Season 5 if they want to be cruel.

Also the title of the episode is "The Children", which seems to reference a certain magical extinct race that's probably way more important to the plot than I could comprehend right now. Also all the book readers I know keep telling me how much this episode is going to mindfuck everyone.

Bran's there already? Damn, the show writers really do know what happens.
And yeah, it's gonna be a shocker.

I don't think we're seeing that; it'll be next season for better introduction and getting people to remember.

I'm thinking more that it will be the last 10-seconds cliffhanger.

And it would tie pretty well with the children name of the episode I guess.

So many people died this episode... I only recognised two of them (Ygritt and Jon's other non-fat friend)

As for the episode title "The Children", it's quite brilliant as it refers to many things that will be happening (most of which you've said, but just to add on):
Spoiler: spoilers, don't open (click to show/hide)

Basically episode 10 is going to be one long string of HOLY SHIT moments. It's gonna be GREAT.
