Stellar episode. My fears of the rape scene were allayed, the director did for all intents and purposes wish for the scene to end consensual and let's just pretend that scene was as long as the book.
Brienne and Pod are at this point minor POV characters, but I still love all of their scenes. Pod's overeagreness is just great, he really is the best squire.
Dany's ark I feel was lacking, as we had grey worm's great set up for a KILL DA MASTA BURN DA HARPY moment and all we got was a kinda underwhelming street murder. Are we to assume the slaves unilaterally joined the emancipation bandwagon? None were attached to their masters? None as ambitious as Varys? None as obediant as the Unsullied?
This just seems underwhelming AND SPOILER SPOILERS AHEAD
I also got the impression that the sons of the harpy had popular reactionary support, as there'd be no other way they'd survive. At least show the revolting slaves open the gates for the Unsullied army.
Probably a budget thing.
Moving back to the episode
It's about time GOT got seductio done awesomely - Margaery never once has to uase power of tits. She just walks in and wins Tommen over like a cannon!
Poison confirmed conspired by action Granny and Goatbeard. Sansa's not a killeryet, but give her some time.
Whitewalker Satan. Pretty certain that was Whitewalker Satan.
I find it funnier than I should that Craster's keep is a human farm.
In regards to he Dornish, I know why love them. They alone stood up to the Targaeryans, you'd expect them to be more dour than Stormlanders and Northerners. Instead they're chronically obsessed with enjoying the spices of life.
They also are fond of adding peppers and chillis to food.
They have taste.
In regards to Dorne sitting our the war of five Kings, that's not really an issue. Five kings, seven Kingdoms, it makes sense that Dorne and the Vale sit it out. One is ruled by a patient leader, the other isolationist.
On the topic of guest right, it is extreme. In ancient Greece xenia was he domain of Zeus. Fuck with guest right you fuck with divine power beyond power. This sentiment carries. Remember Bran talking about the rat cook or whatever his name is?
Bran rather terrifyingly mocks the reeds for thinking the gods punished him for killing a man's kids and feeding it to him. He is punished for breaking guest right.
It is more taboo than kingslaying.
