Tbh the only thing I'm looking forward is reading LW rant about the show. The entire thing turned utterly meh seasons ago :V

Pretty much this. Though I'm hopeful for individual cool episodes, since recent seasons have usually managed at least one or two of those. I expect glorious rants and bants, LW for the Iron Throne.

Sansa is actually also quite an in-depth and relatable character if you think about it.

Friend and I talked about this the other day.

The first few seasons were great.

But as more characters died off, and they got further and further away from the actual storyline and crafted their own....it just started to lose steam.

That and the previous seasons took their time. The had scenes that didn't really move the story forward at all, but were great character pieces. I'm thinking the scene with the Hound and Aria in the inn, for example.

The last season felt like "We gotta get through this shit, and we're only covering the big events." Last season I really felt like I was watching actors do scenes rather than getting immersed in a story.

That and I'm sorry. The Mother of Dragons storyline has bored me to tears for a long time now, and while I'm sure she's a fine lady, I'm not really sure she's that good of an actress.

I'm looking forward to the next season so I can say it's done, and I'm sure HBO feels the same way.

Well, I mean basically everyone kinda shrugged off Cersei and Jaime fucking as extremely common knowledge that no one really cared about (for some reason), so realizing you’ve accidentally been boning your relative probably isn’t quite as big of a thing as it would be in other places.

Plus, y’know, the whole regicidal implication and whatnot.

I guess you could interpret the theme being there due to Gendry, which has some troubling implications for Targaryens sitting on the throne by the end. Also, I must say there was a second during which I thought the fucking rider at the end was Stannis, before I realized "oh right it's that guy". I want to see Jaimie giving Bran a push.
