For all the Stark children we've followed them every season (except Bran and Rickon) so it hasn't been jarring seeing them grow older, but we've been seeing less of Bran more often (we're only now seeing him again after we spent all of season 5 with no Bran). The difference is more noticeable then

Taking a step back this episode was not that good. Not bad either, just not 10/10, the last episode was just so shit this episode was hype in comparison. CLEGANEBOWL HYPE

I have to say, Victarion in the show is already a million times better than his book counterpart.

The entire Ironborn plotline has benefited from massive compression already. IIRC, a little under half of A Feast For Crows was covered in a few scenes in this episode.

I sort of did too. Granted at least 70% of that feeling was wanting to see the butthurt that would result, but I feel it sort of takes the easy way out of his character's conflict. He was an interesting character for me because of his disconnect between what he wants as a Stark Ned's son and what he needs to do as the Lord Commander and a brother of the Night's Watch. That conflict plays out a bit differently in the books, but it was still very real in the show. Everyone is all excited about it because he's technically free of his previous obligation to the Watch, having been released in death, and can go off and knock over Ramsay's shit or whatever. Much as I'd like to see Ramsay's shit knocked over, it wouldn't really feel right to me. Given Melisandre's vision though, that seems to be the track we're heading down.
