~Pregame~

The Sun rises upon Fictini, and the new recruits of the 7th platoon are given their first assignment: to patrol the border between Liveton and the Kaputso league to the south. accompaning you is the Platoon's Commander, Nickolas, the Subcommander, Mario, and a member of the Royal Guard accompanying the Princess, Sir Ludger.

Three days later the platoon is headed towards a small border town southeast of their position to resupply. The land here is flat and a large forest resides to the south. You are a few hours march away from the town

Sara, Ash Ironforge, Ramena Saqui, Sophia Waiven, Danchu Monkan, and Darius Deathknell are in.

:"Almost there, can't wait for fresh food."

[Haspen]

"..." Ramena was walking quietly at the left side of the patrol group, not really in a mood for a talk. Oh wait, she rarely spoke at all. Thus she paid no attention to Ash''s quip.

The Platoon Commander chuckled a bit.
"Rations do get tiring after a while don't they? You best get used to them in the long run though, there isn't always a convenient village nearby."

[Haspen]

"Not really, Commander." Ramena responded in her usual, quiet voice.

"Ate worse at home."

:"Doesn't mean I can't look forward to something different for meal times."

[Culise]

"I shall certainly second that, though there is a certain charm in the rations.  I never had anything like them back home."

: "We used to have Ration Days at home sometimes. It was fun," Darius chimed in, obviously still happy about being on assignment.

"Fun? Ration days? Hah! That's a hoot."
"Hush Mario. They're still greenhorns, the novelty will wear off soon enough."

[Taricus]

: "Bah, may as well stick with the rations. Atleast they don't get your hopes up..." the masked trooper said, in an echoing, sardonic tone.

As the platoon walks down the road smoke starts rising over the horizon.
"... Smoke? In the direction of our destination too."
"Right then. Pick up the pace Troops, we must find out what is going on!"

[Culise]

"Yes, sir." Sophia grabbed her healing stave more tightly, slightly nervous, and hoping her skills wouldn't become necessary at their destination. 

[Taricus]

: "Welp. Atleast we actually get to fight now atleast. I could use something to kill right about now." The masked soldier quipped in a dark tone, fidgeting with the spear within their hands.

[IronyOwl]

: "Yes sir!" Darius said, sounding a little enthusiastic. He straightened up a bit, trying to look a little more formal as they went.
