Research
Spend 1 RP to continue work on animal attraction.

Construction
Spend 1.5 IC and devote 3 pop to building 3 more work huts.

Other
Use 2 clout to send 2 pop out hunting for herbivores, they are also to look for signs of other intelligent species within the forest and to take 2 wolf packs and a bear pack with them to aid in tracking and bringing down animals alive.

Have all remaining full grown herbivores slaughtered for food keeping only the young.

Have all new predators trained as war beasts including the super wolf.

With spring comes the birds and the insects. A lot of Mitoshondr are fascinated by the flying creatures, to which they physically ressemble in some ways. One day -or rather one night-, a girl suggested that, as the birds use the winds to fly and propel themselves, maybe the Mitoshondr can, too. Of course not on an individual level, they are far too heavy. But putting woven vegetal fibers over a boat could catch the wind and propel it? The boat is carried by the sea instead of the winds, but otherwise it should work the same.
It is decided to try.

Great quantities of food were gathered and they needed freshly discovered knowledge about preserving food in order to keep them safe. While it was far from mastered on usable level priests known enough to let population experiment in hope of keeping food for many months and thus allowing to avoid starvation.

Spring: Turn 4

Research:
-Resource Preservation

Building production:
-Drone Chamber (Bonus to IC Production)  +.4 IC (Constructed out of Biomass as the rest of the Hive) +1 Clout
A research breakthrough is made.

Despite their previous failures, the drones start again. They build the chamber, larger and stronger than before. Safely dug deep inside the ground, the dome is spectacular to see, and provides workspace for many drones. Sadly, the construction was not without danger, and several drones perished under cave ins.

With the coming of spring, reproduction starts again.  3 Vectors were born.

Research progresses rapidly. The extra people assigned to it provided a nessecairy boost. They found out that gathering the food in decently constructed buildings should keep it away from rats and other vermin.

The large amount of avaible food triggers a population boom.

The Southern land are a dry savannah, which soon turns into a stone desert.

No progress is made. (You do know that you produce 2 RP/turn, right?)

Multiple workhuts are constructed, and conjoined into a larger complex. There are significant doubts that it can be expanded, as it's processing all avaible resources in a wide surrounding.

The hunts are semi succesfull. However, the increasing size of the tribe is putting it's social framework under stress. Several hunters hunt for food rather than live animals, especially because food shortages are never far off. No intelligent beings are found in the forest, though the hunters did not go far.

The slaughtering of herbivores helps relieve the immediate food shortage thread. All warbeasts are trained.

Population increases again.

Social structure is under stress (By my count, you used 1 Clout to many)
Equipment is degrading rapidly.

Construction:
experimental sails.
The Mitoshondr, fascinated by the miracle of flight, attempt to mimic nature, and add sails to their ships. A first ship is equiped with a sail woven from seaweeds. It departs from the dock, but it's not long away before the sail catches a ghust of wind, and the boat is turned over and sinks. The second boat departs with a sail made of feathers, attached to fishing nets. It works well at first, but the spray of the waves wettens the feathers, and the sail falls apart. The last attempt uses grasses gathered on the top of the leviathan. The grasses are woven tightly, and when the ship departs, they stretch, yet do not break. The boat catches the wind, and speeds forward, narrowly avoiding to tip over. The experiment is considered a succes, even though the boat got damaged during the docking.

Population grows.

No research breakthrough.

The squids circle the obsidian pillar. It's a fascinating thing, and they can't really comprehend it's origin. The Third tentacle cautiously touches it. Suddenly, the glow increases, and the water above the pillar starts to boil, then changes, showing an image the squids can't comprehend. It shows them a land above water, with giant brown and green things towering towards the sky. Between them, black chitinious creatures, the like of which they've never seen, skitter towards a hole in the ground.
(Your RP are added only every 2 turns, IIRC. Btw, pop actions always use Clout.)

The whale hunters come across a larger than normal pack of whales. The whales attack, and they are forced to defend themselves.

Research.
Stone Skinning Tools.

Construction:
Use 3 Population and 4 IC to build another Explorer hut
A breakthrough is made in stone skinning tools. It increases production somewhat, and gives us acces to animal hides.

No real progression is made on the construction of another explorers hut. Making a hut is simple, but finding willing/capable explorers is not.

Whale hunters vs. Whales.

The whales have recognised their ancestral enemies, and attack. These are not your usual whales, but significantly larger and more ferocious whales, that make their home in the deepest depths. They are attacking the Squid hunters from above. The latter are prepared for the attack, but there's still time for interesting tactical descisions.

The battle terrain is empty. To the North are some coral reefs, to the South some anemone covered rocks.

The sails were deemed a resounding success, although more work is necessary. A sail for the Big Boat begins to be constructed. A second attempt at sailing is planned. This time with smaller boats escorting it as it will sail around the Leviathan. Then, if all seems safe, it will attempt to spot the other mighty beasts on the horizon. Meanwhile, the new generations show great curiosity for the myth and the story of the tribes and the Leviathans in general. As such, the building of a small stone circle, at the feet of the mountainous vents of Ychtnarley, begins.

With the coming of spring, reproduction starts again.  3 Vectors were born.

She Who Walks in Nightmares is pleased.

Finally, the Drone Chamber has been produced, and longer-term projects can be undertaken, for the good of the Hive. She currently could not move, and so she would not be able to directly oversee their tasks, but indirect orders would suffice for now.

The Hive moves, those within it swarming, following their new orders.

Pop: 6

Research:
Secondary Mutation (Ability to induce particular mutations in Drones to specialize them to certain tasks... basically Tools.)

Orders:
Unorganized Hunters reassigned to the Drone Chamber
Hunters once again focus on gathering Hosts.

The whales' strength lies in their numbers. If we can separate them, then we have the advantage.
Everysquid grabs a rock to use as a weapon.
Spread out.
When the whales charge, if one squid has only one opponent, then take it out, and rush to the aid of the others. In that case, the other two lead their pursuers on a chase, through the reefs or rocks, if possible.
If the whales stay in a pack, have the one that they pursue lead them on the same chase, and have the others harass the whales' rear.

The squids arm themselves, then dart of in all directions. The whales split, giving up the safety of their primitive formation.  The 2 squids lead them in a wild chase, through rocks and coral reefs. The whales, which are not very nimble creatures, end up colliding with each other, and with the rocks.

Meanwhile, the lone squid has managed to defeat his adversary, and comes to aid of his fellows. Together they manage to finish of their trapped comerade.

+ 26 food, +3 IC
